Need tablet recommendations!

My dh is looking at tablets for me for Christmas. I suggested the Bamboo Fun since it's really just a whim and I don't *need* one but he thinks I'll like it and will soon wish for a bigger/better one. So I told him I'd ask the gurus. :thumbup:

What do you have? Do you love it or hate it? Why?

P.S. I'd rather have a Rebel but since that doesn't seem to be happening . . . :mad:
 
Bamboo Fun is awesome! It's got a slightly gritty texture that makes drawing and writing a little more controlled. Love the Bamboo sooo much more than the old graphire I had. You will love it!
 
I've got the small Bamboo Fun and wouldn't trade it for anything! I like the smaller size cause I use it with my laptop so I carry it with me wherever I'm working. I wouldn't want anything bigger.
 
I have the small Graphire4 (earlier version of the Bamboo) and love it. I don't have any desire to upgrade or get a bigger one, and I've had this one for about 3 years. It's the perfect size for my desk...
 
Well, I had the small Graphire years ago with my PC and when I went Mac and it wasn't compatible I upgraded to the 6x8 Intuos. I would say if he's willing to spring for it, get a 6x8. I like it much better. I wouldn't want bigger though. Your actual tablet size is considerably bigger than the dimensions of the drawing surface, and the bigger ones get HUGE! 6x8 is a really nice size. :)

EDIT: was just looking at their website and that would be close to the Bamboo Medium. The dimensions are a little different now to be more like a widescreen monitor I think. And I actually had meant to say that... now that I have a widescreen, I wouldn't mind a new tablet that's widescreen, but it's not a huge deal.
