Prayers please!!

Hey there!! I just wanted to pop in real quick and let you all know what's going on here. About 2-3 days after we brought Claire home from the hospital, Libby came home sick. We knew it was only a matter of time before it got to Claire and sure enough it did about 4 days ago. Turns out she has RSV. Thursday night they had us take her to the hospital to get all sorts of bloodwork done and a chest xay and a nose and mouth swab to check for RSV. They had a heck of a time trying to take her blood because she's so little. They couldn't take it from anywhere, including a vein in her scalp...that was so hard listening to her cry so much and be in so much pain from all the sticking they did. Friday her breathing was getting worse so they admitted her for a 24 hour observation...they let us go yesterday morning. We ended up bringing her back last night because she was sounding worse and working a little harder to breathe. They readmitted her and have been giving her breathing treatments every 4 hours. Everything is looking good and her oxygen levels are awesome. They're keeping her overnight again tonight and hopefully we'll be bringing her back home tomorrow morning. She's going to be okay, but she's just so little and her little body has been through so much these past few days. She could use lots of prayers and positive thoughts!! Thank you so much everyone!! I've really missed you all lately!! :wub:
 
Laurie, I've been thinking about you and Claire non-stop wondering how she was doing. I had hoped that you guys were home by now! Continuing to keep you guys in my prayers. Thanks for checking in and letting us know how she's doing!

Oh Laurie! I hope and pray that Miss Claire continues to do well on her meds and that you can take her home soon! Please keep us posted.
 
What a lot for little Claire and you to be going through. I sure hope she will be well enough to go home very soon!
 
awwww gosh!!! keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. hospitals are no fun especially with wee babies and around christmas time!
 
oh, laurie!!! i will totally be praying for your little one(s)!!!! and for you and DH getting through this tough time with little sick ones...i pray you all are getting some kind of rest!!! HUGS!!!

Awww... I'm sorry she has been through so much. I hope she is better quickly and she gets to go home soon. Keep us posted.
 
(((Laurie))) Sending some prayers your way. Get some rest while you can! Ryleigh had RSV when she was a baby (not quite as little as Claire though) and it's an ordeal that's for sure. So hard on us mommies. Hang in there and accept help from whoever is giving it! :)
 
Ah poor baby. And, poor mommy. I know it is tough to watch your little baby go through so much and being so sick. How are you holding up? You will definitly be in my prayers. I know that God can work miracles and he can do that for you and little Claire. Hang in there. (((((((((((hugs))))))))))
 
Oh I am sorry to hear this and will definitely keep your family in our prayers. Both my dd's went through the same thing when they were babies and I can absolutely understand your words your wrote and hear the sounds. My girls are now 12 and 8 but I always remember it. Take care....and thanks for turning to friends here.
 
Oh how scary! Glad she seems to be improving, hopefully she will recovery fully soon! So sorry she had to go through all of this, poor thing! :(
 
Lots of prayers being sent your way. Our little guy had that last year at only a few months old and I remember how nervewracking it was. Hope she's all better soon!
 
Oh honey, I SO know how you feel. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk. J was in the hospital for 3 days when he was 18 days old with RSV. I so know where you're at right now. Let me know if you need an ear, okay? ((((((hugs)))))) to you and Claire!!!!
