and my little California kids are outside in the street playing in non sticking snowflakes!!! LMAO
 
I am so glad that there is someone that gets excited about snow. We got another 3 inches last night. It is snowing now and we are expected to get another 6+ inches tomorrow night. I am really tired of clearing off my driveway, which takes 2 hours each time, only to do it again the next day.

That's great you are getting some snow where you are! It's not so exciting when you see it all the time...if it wouldn't stick that'd be a different thing.
 
we have a little snow, ice, below freezing temperatures, oh wait we are supposed to get snow today, then freezing rain and then more snow..... and then a few more days of below freezing temperatures and then another storm Sunday which is supposed to be even worse....

did I tell you that we are in Oregon in the Valley... we are not supposed to have this type of weather!!!

You cold town people that are used to it can keep it! LOL
 
Samara ... where are you again? My kids are going over to see their Dad & he is in Orange County. I am hoping that as we go over the mountain into San Diego there will be snow.
 
LOL, snowing here too...I don't MIND snow either, it's just the cold temps that come with it I don't like. If it wouldn't get colder than say between -5c and -10c I could live with it easily for the 6 months of the year. It's just nasty drops in the temperature that I don't like!!
 
It's snowing here today too! Well actually now it's changed over to sleet! We got about 3" of snow this morning and now sleet on top, fun stuff!

As for the rest of the week, they are predicting another 6" on Friday then snow Sat, Sun, Monday! I guess it's going to be a white Christmas here!

After the ice storm and no power for 4 days I'm not happy!

*grumbles and goes to sit in corner and ignore Samara while turning a lovely shade of envy green*

I'd give my right arm for some snow at our house right about now!
Thankfully, we'll be in NY for Christmas and I'm hoping it'll be a white one :)

Because of the stupid Chesapeake Bay. Since it's east of us, we don't get the lake effect snow that ppl get up north near the great lakes. Not that it's cold enough to cause that. Stupid bay is too dang warm.

The bay keeps the air warmer here, so instead of snow we get rain for like 4 months. If we lived further west in MD we'd get snow, but not in the Baltimore area. Jordan's parents are as west as you can get in MD (I joke that you can hear the banjo's in WVa from their backyard) and have already gotten at least 3 feet this year. They're always 10 degrees cooler than we are, year round.

Plus, even when it does get below freezing so it can snow? There are no storms, OR the storms dump all their snow before it gets to me.

Coming from NY and Central PA where snow is a weekly occurance some years, I'm still not used to this. And this is my 4th winter here!

same. I hate the cold ... although I am not a huge fan of shoveling the snow!!
 
Snoooooooooow!!! We still had a little bit from the last snow, and it snowed all night! Kids are out there sledding down the little hill that is our street right now. Wheeeeeee! :thumbup:

I love it when we get snow like this here. Usually we get mixed rain and snow, or a nice snowfall followed by rain, so it's super slushy. It's been around minus 5C all week though, so it's nice dry snow!
