slept 8 hours straight last night!!! At first it freaked me out when I woke up and realized it was 5 am and she hadn't woken me up...but she was fine, snoozing away wrapped up in her Miracle Blanket like a little papoose baby. God Bless the Miracle Blanket lol! And then she nursed and went back to sleep til about 7 am...just had to brag on my good sleeper :)

awww so sweet!! I miss those days..Teaghan was a great sleeper for about 5 months..Now I dunno what her deal is lol

That's great. My son slept for that long when he was only a couple of days old and freaked me out, too. I wish I had known I would never again get that long out of him. lol He's not a great sleeper.

Aww thats so awesome!! I don't think I ever got that lucky with any of my bambinos. Shoot most nights they still dont sleep 8 hours LOL!I need to def get one of those miracle blankets though LOL.

I am a whole-hearted supporter of the Miracle Blanket!!! Both of my kids were great sleepers, but Claire slept even better even earlier and I totally attribute it to the Miracle Blanket. I will absolutely be using it again with Sadie!!!

what a good girl you have!!! my sister loves her miracle blanket too, btw!! she called me the other day to tell me that eydie slept for like 6 hours snug as a bug. :) thanks for letting me know about it!!

That's awesome! Is the Miracle Blanket a swaddler? Noah slept soooo good when we swaddled him. I was so nervous aout it at first, but it worked great!

That's great! We loved the Miracle Blanket and I only wish I had one from the moment I brought Olivia home. When I finally got one, she definitely slept a whole lot better!! We'll be using it with this baby, for sure.

Awww, sleep . . . . it's such a good thing. Who would've thought that babies sleeping could make us so happy!

Shoot, now that my baby sleeps really good, I just wish my two other littles didn't come in my bed every bed:glare:

Here's a link to the MB site with video of how it's used.

I KNOW she sleeps so well b/c of this blanket. I didn't find out about it with Avery til he was about 4 weeks old but when I started using it with him he went from sleeping 2-3 hour stretches to 5-6 hour stretches and by 8 weeks he was sleeping through the night. I started Ella out the first week wrapping her in it and she's been only waking once during the night for 2 weeks now and then last night slept all night. The great thing about this blanket is the little flaps it has to keep their little arms down at their sides which keeps them from wiggling them out of the swaddle and then waking themselves up with their hands in their face. It is the tightest swaddle you will ever get..regular blankets don't come close. I think the hospital should send one home with every new mom lol. It is my standard gift for any friend/family that has a new baby and I always get phone calls with great big thank yous after the baby is born lol. It really is a MIRACLE blanket lol.

Isn't that such a blessing Nikki? Lord knows you need the sleep. Regan started sleeping about 12 hours straight through the night at 2 months which was HUGE for me cuz I had a 20 month old and DH left for basic training when Regan was 5 weeks old. Needless to say sleep was the only peace I got for a long time. lol

I hope she keeps it up!

My boys used to do that too (espeically Connor) and it would totally freak me out too! But you obviously know how lucky you are to have such a good baby. Enjoy her. :)

Oh Nikki that is awesome!!

Even though Claire is 5 weeks old, I just ordered one for her. She is a very restless sleeper when she's in her bassinet, so hopefully this works!! This might sound like a dumb question, but how long can you use this blanket? We never swaddled Libby, so I'm not sure how long they like to be swaddled...

that looks like an awesome blanket.. where was it when my oldest was a baby!! She was the worst sleeper!!

Laurie on the website it said up to 5 months to be swaddled?

It says up to 5 mos but I swaddled Avery until 7 mos when he was strong enough to break free from it himself..once I started finding him free from it in the mornings I stopped using it. I even swaddled him for his naps up til that point and I always put him to bed awake and he wouldn't cry or anything..he loved being wrapped up like that. I'm going to use it with Ella as long as she'll stay in it lol

Wow--you are so lucky! My 2 year old is still hit or miss about sleeping through the entire night, and from the look of things so far my 5-day old is definitely not going to be doing it any time soon.

Aww, what a beautiful & sweet baby girl! My two and a half year old has been sleeping really well since he was a couple of months old. He's still in his crib (is that weird?) even, and puts up more of a fight to get out of it in the mornings than to get into it at night.

I hope she continues to sleep well for you!

That is awesome! Both my girls started sleeping 8 hours at 4-5 weeks and still do to this day (4 and 2.5 years now). I think for us it was having a schedual for feedings (while still being flexible). The Babywise book helped alot- I don't agree with everything but it did send me in the right direction.

Syrin, my 2.5 yr old is still in a crib too... I think she would wander the house at night if she wasn't. lol

I am a 100% believer in the swaddle! We had a blanket for Kyra that I used to swaddle that she couldn't get out of and from day 1 she slept through the night, I just went downstairs and searched through whats left of our baby stuff and thank goodness its still there. I think I kept it for her dollies but I will be using it 1 more time. Although I think I still may want this one too LOL

You are soooo lucky!! You give me hope for my one on the way lol. With my first son he never slept! I was a walking zombie for ever!

oh i want one of those babies!! Byron slept 6 hrs on NYW when we came home from the hospital and then woke every hour and a half for feeds that night - backwards baby - we'll see how tonite goes i guess but it's early days - hopefully by 3 wks.... fingers crossed!
