OT: Wii driving games have to have the wheel?

We are getting ready to rent movies and thought we would try and rent a driving game (mario kart is out ugh...) but we don't have the steering wheels just the remotes...

will that work?

any great suggestion for games for 3-1/2 yr old and almost 6yr old?

well, I only know about mario kart and you don't need the wheel. You can either use the remote sideways (as if it was in a wheel) or use the remote and nunchuck (which I prefer). I assume the other driving games would be the same!
 
Yeah I play mario kart without the wheel all the time. We only have 1 wheel, so Kendra always calls dibs. LOL! Don't know about the other games, but I bet it would work anyway.
 
it'll work, it just won't be as easy or as much fun.

Mario karts is my 5yo's favorite game LOLOL. It's just about the only game he'll play. :blink:
 
like I thought no mario karts were turned back in (I swear I called just about every store today and only 1 store had a few .... hoping to convince hubby to go tomorrow otherwise i'm ordering for Ethan's birthday (1/12)...no other driving games

but we ended up just letting him create his own Mii and he thought that was the greatest and then he played Wii sports and Wii play (ping pong, tennis, golf) and he did soo much better than we thought!

It was fun to watch he had a blast..

I like the looks of Cooking Mama too =) looks fun!
