A gripe from me...

So DH asked me to go get him some glue from Home Depot for some (decorative) tiles that fell off in the tub area. I make SURE he's not talking about grout or caulk... just glue.

I return a couple movies, I consider stopping for a coffee but decide to get his stuff and get it home so he can finish the tub (had to re-caulk because it was leaking downstairs and then the decorative trim-tiles started falling off). SO I buy stuff that I'd used previously for the same purpose at my mom's house....

Him (after staring at me like I'm a $@#^@^#$ing retard): "This isn't the right stuff. It won't work."

"B.S. it won't... it says TILE ADHESIVE... *snarky* "Adhesive" means "glue"."

*dramatic annoyed-sigh* "Well, I GUESS I should have told you better."

"Yeah, I guess so."

Him (extra sarcastic): Yeah well, thanks... I appreciate it.

He ALWAYS does this! He asks me to pick something up... and it's never right... even when it is. I'm not doing it anymore... if he needs/wants something, he can get it himself. That goes for gifts too. I bought him a nice MP3 player for Christmas and spent 2 DAYS filling it with his favorite songs... where is it now? On the shelf in the closet!! Hasn't been touched. :glare:

I would've done it my freaking self with the RIGHT glue that I bought. How could TILE ADHESIVE not be right for gluing tiles!?!?

maybe that tile adhesive is meant for tiles like linoleum tiles for flooring. I think the type of tiles in a shower does require a specific type of adhesive being as though its exposed to moisture and all. Could be wrong though cause of course I dont know what kinda adhesive exactly you bought but there are other kinds of tiles & tile adhesive. My hubby and I both learned a long time ago if there is something specific that we need we should go buy it ourself so we know it is right LOL. I cant tell you how many times I sent hubby to the store to buy something and he came home with something completely different then what I said.

It's bathroom tile adhesive... I've used it before to glue loose tiles in my mom's bathroom.

Treat him like I treat my teenagers................I deserve respect and if I am not giving respect, you dont get to mess with me. Have your answers ready. He asks you to pick up, be prepared to turn him down.

One of the things I tell my husband when he treats me bad is that I dont feel very loving and I have to feel loving to give the loving :blink: He looks at things a little differently when there is a chance that he may miss out on lovin........

I have to talk to the men in my family on a level they understand.

I second throwing it at his head LOL Now I get mad when Wes brings home the wrong thing but thats cause hes always wrong, how freakin wrong could ahesive for tiles be when it says tile adhesive on it. Grrr
