i haven't had my eyebrows done in years. I just pluck them. and to my horror, while looking closely in the mirror the other day, i notice darker hairs above my lip!!! NOOOOO!! not a STACHE!!! EWWW. Luckily, you don't notice unless you are thisclose to my face! and there are only 2 or 3 but a light brown as opposed to the normal pale blonde ones.
God, i'm a freak!! :D

I pluck the eyebrows and the 'stache.
I'm scared wax will rip my skin off. LOL

I was getting laser hair removal treatments for most of last year and I'm so glad I did. It was worth the pain to be 75% hair free and not have to pluck every single day. I still have some darker hairs, but can't afford the $115 per treatment right now. It's still a far cry from what it looked like before, so I'm happy with it. I love getting my brows waxed though!

Yeah what La said, don't go near the wax. Well actually when Iw as in highschool my mom had a wax machine and she offered to do my eye brows cause she did hers but my skin is wayyy sensitive so I walked around with singed eye lids for a good week LOL

Lizzy, this is one of the million reasons I love you.
I pluck in between my eyebrows almost obsessively.
The lip ...I can't wax it. I lose patches of skin. So I use the cream on my lip. I plucked one lip hair once, and I cried.
If I use cream on my eyebrows I get chemical burn, so I wax my eybrows. Amanda is 14, so she has let me wax her a few times now!
And since we were doing it, Natalie wanted to try. It was like Christmas for me. She may only be 5, but that girl has the unibrow from hell! So, granted, she screamed bloody murder, and the neighbors were scared, but now she has two eyebrows!!!

Unfortunately, PCOS has made me hairy so my Christmas gift that I got this year that I didn't mention was laser hair removal. I found a great place that had a package where I paid for 6 treatments then after that 6th one if I ever get a hair back on my face I can go get it lasered for free! I had my first one done the beginning of December. Then I just had my 2nd treatment done on January 2nd. I go for my next on January 30th.
My cousin (has PCOS too) gets PCOC newsletters and she said the latest one had an article about women with PCOS that are taking metformin (which I am) get better results with the laser hair removal! :)

I was scared to wax for a long time. Finally I got got the guts up and went. Now I wuv it!!! I try to do them every 8wks. I wish I could go more often but just starts to add up. So I pluck in between. But I agree that beauty is a pain!

Maybe I'm a freak of nature...
I got my brows waxed for the first time over Christmas, and I broke out. I mean, MAJORLY. Talk about gross. I would much rather have hairy brows than teenage-boy acne. YUCk! I'm thinking it was all the soothing stuff she put on after...any suggestions? I love the look, but if I can't get that figured out, I'm never doing it again.
