My sister wants a website for her High School Class and I suggested a blog as i think it would be more economical and you can make it private, etc.

Are there costs with blogs? I am blog-clueless! HELP!!!!
 
You can have a blog for free depending on the service (blogger, wordpres.com are free). What does your sister want the website for exactly? Depending on what she wants to do a blog may or may not be a good solution.

She wants to have a place where people can come and stay connected and post updates about reunions, etc.
 
For some reason I remember thinking that you could only invite a certain # of people if you make your blog private on blogger (blogger is free). I think it's 50, but I could be completely off...
 
Lynnette has a good idea. My HS class has a Facebook group and that's how we've stayed in touch.
 
There's another social networking site called ning.com That might work for what y'all need. It's what our college alumni group uses.
