So it's currently 4:00 pm. I am still in my pajamas. I have no bra on. My hair hasn't been brushed--or my teeth. I smell like baby puke. And hubby gets home in 45 minutes. Is it worth even trying to look presentable? :p

Ewww on the baby puke...as for the bra, they're a pain. I used to be jealous of my BF in HS...she could just put 2 bandaids over her chest and go out like that (no joke). I haven't been able to do that since I was about 9.

So I did actually shower and brush my teeth. My hair was still sopping wet when he came home, but at least I'm fully dressed and no longer stinky!

Well I'm sure he appreciated your efforts Chels! I know mine does, even if I'm not all glammed up (not that I ever was before, lol). And I know I ALWAYS feel better too when I'm cleaned up too!

Are you kidding? I used to be a makeup artist before this..I have more makeup than the entire production of Cats :blink:

You still don't get showered and dressed and dolled up every day post baby :P

Sounds like my day .. . minus the baby spit up. I didn't get showered and put together til dh got home from work.

He doesn't mind, in fact he benefits from it, we'll have my oldest dd watch the kids and we'll take a shower :)

Yup - that's me on lots of days (and I really *should* wear a bra at all times -big sweatshirts are good that way). I always feel better when I've had a shower... more of a human being and less like a human kleenex.

I'll have to tell that to DH, he'd be amazed that someone has either a) or makeup than me or b) more shower products. :)

Post-baby I'll still have to shower and get dressed...well, at least when I go back to work anyway. I'm pretty sure they'd frown upon me arriving covered in spit-up still in my pjs (although the pjs would make for a much less stuffy environment!). LOL

LOL This is so true. I actually took a picture of ME today for my Project 365 pic because I put on some regular clothes. Nothing fancy, and uhm, I don't even wear any makeup LOL ~ but my baby will be 6 weeks on Sunday, and I will start doing some work (from home yay!!) as of next week and needed to go into the office.

This whole first month I have been mostly in pj pants or lounge pants, even after I've taken a shower --- which on some days is VERY late at night.

I am always dressed by 8 am LOL. So I'm no help! But yes, I'd have jumped in the shower and brushed my teeth too.

I ALWAYS put on make up and do something to my hair. But, my makeup consists of eyeliner and mascara and takes like 30 seconds. And my hair takes 3-4 minutes if I do something to it. I don't know why, but those two are musts. Even post baby. I think for a couple weeks I only shower every other day, but then I get back into showering every day before too long--but I shower at night when kids are in bed and it's much easier for me that way.

Getting dresses... well, that's very different. :) I doubt my 2 year old knows I have any other clothes than sweats and a tshirt. I'm blaming it on pregnancy, but we'll see how much it changes afterwards!

Maybe if you look super pittiful when he gets home, he'll take pitty on you and take you to dinner... or at least cook it himself?

My baby is 8 weeks (tomorrow)- and just today did I even brave trying on my pre-preggo pants (no go, btw. so it seems I was none-too-early in trying to return to the gym this week)
Anyway - just wanted to give ya a Camaraderie, Sistah! Down with the make-up (uh, though I can't get away bra-less. BUT! I totally would if I could!!) and forget the teeth whiteners (though I do brush my teeth throughout the day) and ban the razors, i say! LOL

Congrats Jill :) Did you have a baby boy or girl? My little boy is going to be 6 weeks on Sunday.
