ever lost a christmas present??

Between shopping and christmas day have you ever bought something and then lost it after wrapping? I have to put my presents on top of my entertainment center so my kitties do not bother them. They love to chew on stuff and scratch stuff. So I knew I was missing a game that I had bought my youngest for his Nintendo DS. I dug out the receipt and sure enough there was one listed on the receipt but was misssing here. I was just about ready to call the store and tell them I did not get it that someone must have forgot to bag it because I honestly do not even remember wrapping it LOL. Then I asked my son if he got this game (Crash and the Titans) and he said no but then he got looking and found it had fallen behind the entertainment center. I had even looked back there. I have absolutely no idea how I lost it. I did this last year too. Found some stocking stuffers for my neice and my daughter like three months after christmas in the back of a cabinet where I had hid alot of stuff that year. So have you ever done this? Please tell me Im not alone in losing gifts?

Yea, I've done that. But, mine wasn't nearly as recoverable as yours. I left mine in a hotel room and of course when I called, it wasn't there.

Can't say I have but I can see how it can happen.

It wasnt so bad losing it but I did not even remeber WRAPPING IT!! LOL That is what got me. I honestly do not remember even seeing it when I wrapped everything and Im the only one who wrapped gifts this year. I really was just minutes away from calling FYE and telling them they did not put the game in the bag.

Every year. Seriously. Last year it was something for me. This year it was some stuff for the boys.

LOL Been there too, actually most xmas's growing up i remeber my mom saying well we got you such and such but i have no idea what happeend LOL Our house eats them too

I always get a present 3 months after Christmas when my Mam finds where she hids them :thumbup:

I lost one this year but before I wrapped it. I got my SIL a Tracy Joy camera strap and I can't find it anywhere. I remember taking the mailing envelope upstairs to my room to wrap the present and I have NO idea where I put it...I ended up getting her something else.

A few years back, we had bought a pack of coloring books for Natalie in like September and hid them for Christmas. Well, when Christmas came, we couldn't remember where we had hidden them. It because a running gag that we had no idea in the house where the coloring books were.

Fast forward to this past summer. We were moving the furniture in our bedroom, and I lifted the mattress to move the bed, and low and behold....there, under the mattress, were the coloring books.

I totally forgot about the speaker pillow I bought for Jenna for Christmas, I hid it in my walk-in closet under some blankets. But it's her birthday in 10 days, so one less thing to worry about next week. lol

We celebrated Christmas in Utah this year, and I left an entire suitcase full of presents at home! I was so sad! Poor DH had hardly anything to unwrap under the tree.

I also have a kids' cooking set from 2 years ago in my closet that I forgot to wrap.

LOL! I am opposite ... my mom gave me a digital key chain for Christmas and I have no idea where I put it!!!

Yep, one year, my dh throw out an entire bag of Christmas gifts with the trash. He thought it was a bag I had cleaned out of a room, nope, it was $100 worth of gifts. Yeah, I was not happy that year.
