Alright, sorry if this grosses anyone out, haha. Let that be a warning.
I've lost my deodorant and can't find it ANYWHERE (I've been looking for a couple days already). But...well...I need to use something. I can't stand the smell of myself, and I've already showered. Is there something I probably have around the house that I can use? Anyone know?
I'm going to get DH to pick me up more tonight after work - whatever scent, I'm sure it'll be fine until I can find one I like on Friday, lol.

baking soda under your arms will absorb the odor and moisture. But it may not take away the smell of BO completely. I'd say just use your hubby's until he gets you more.

There might be some in a box of random baby stuff that we recently found. Now...where'd I put that box?! LOL!

hehee I just went through this last week ... and then I almost panicked when I couldn't find MY scent of anti-perspective solid (cause I don't like the feel of gel) at Walmart. Whew though, I found it (Vanilla Chai Secret).

Baby powder smells "fresh" and will absorb the moisture too.

I just googled it and found quite a few recipes for homemade deodorant:
Mix a cup of baking soda and 2 T. of cornstarch in a container with a short-handled blush brush. After your shower, brush on your deodorant. Since you're still a little moist, it doesn't have a problem sticking.
Another reader says: I recently discovered using baking soda as a deodorant works better than anything. I sprinkle a little bit on. I don't mix anything.
And another reader wrote with this recipe:
1/4 cup baking soda (for odor)
1/4 cup baby powder (for pleasant scent)
1/16 cup corn starch ( for dryness)
Mix and put in baby powder container to sprinkle on.
And another method: Make cream deodorant by mixing 2 tablespoons baking soda, 2 tablespoons of petroleum jelly and 2 tablespoons talcum or baby powder. Corn starch is optional. Heat in double boiler or over very low heat, stirring constantly until it becomes smooth and creamy. Store in a container with tight lid.
Another another idea about using it as a deodorant: Mix equal parts baking soda and cornstarch, add water until it can be poured into a mold. After it dries I have a ball of deodorant that I moisten and apply. If you apply it to raw or tender skin (after shaving your armpits) it will burn.

Thanks girls! Can't find the baby powder (seriously - where'd that box GO?!), but I do have baking soda, lol. DH's smells awful, I hate it (some random scent of Axe body spray...maybe I hate it because he uses too much of it).
