I know how to do most recoloring pretty well but I can't seem to get this polka dot ribbon recolored and keep the white polka dots and the texture.
Any helpful hints out there on the best way?
I'm using PSCS2.
Thanks!

you can grey scale & then colourize using soft light, overlay, or vivid light (you may have to tweak that one down a bit.. it works best for like.. yellow)

I'm trying to go from a yellow w/ white dots to a brown w/ white dots.
So I grayscale the ribbon but not sure what you mean about colorizing...do I add a fill layer above and then change the blending mode to one of those options mentioned above?

yep you can either do that, or. right click on the layer, hit blending options, colour overlay, and then change the blending mode.

I use Hue/Saturation and it works really well (especially if the dots are white).
Need to try the Hummie trick; looks really cool!
