Fireproof reviews, what did you think?

Fireproof was released on DVD on Tuesday. If you've seen it, what did you think of it?

DH & I watched it last night and we both really liked it! :thumbup: I loved the music too! A really great movie that would be a wonderful premarital seminar for churches I think!!!
 
acting aside...the movie and message was GREAT

the acting..not so much but to be expected with a no budget film really...but the message was amazing :) DH and I saw it with our small church group when it was in the theaters! Made for a fantastic date night and discussion.
 
Hubby rented it Thursday for us. I LOVED it. I want to get the study also, and the love dare book. I was watching clips yesterday on it while I should have been working. lol. I didn't think it would have affected me as much as it did. Loved the music in it too. I also want to watch "facing the giants" by the same producers.
 
If you go into knowing it wasnt big budget, its a good movie! We saw it in the theaters with a ton of friends and they all liked it too. :thumbup:

I *think* my dh is currently doing the love dare to me, but I am too embarrassed to ask LOL

awwww that is too sweet!!! I'm sure it makes him happy to see you happy!
 
DH and I were *supposed* to watch it last night but apparently he forgot to take his Midol and was a total a-hole to me so we ended up spending the rest of the night not speaking. Talk about irony, huh?

Loved it. :) Setting up a big church study with it now that will begin next weekend. Think it's a great message and ALL marriages can benefit from it.
 
Facing the Giants is a great message movie also. We rented Fireproof last night but didn't watch it - hopefully tonight!
 
I thought it had a great message but will admit to finding it hard to get past the seriously cheesy acting!
 
Dh and I went to the theater to see it and we both cried. It was such a fantastic movie!
I can't wait to watch it again.
 
Hubby bought it on Tuesday when it came out and we watched it on Wednesday night... I cried like a baby because alot of it really hit home... We've been having some issuses and it was almost like it was us in that movie... Of course not the extent of having paper work all ready to be signed and everything but pretty much in the same boat as the... I want to get the Love Dare book... I think it would be benificial for both the husband and wife to work on the dare together...

I also loved Facing the Giants... Cried in it too... :) Both are great movies, even if the acting is cheesy... I'm not watching it for the actors, I'm watching for the message behind the actors :P

I hope everyone sees it... Even if your marrige is wonderful I think it would put into perspective alot of things that people these days are going through..

:D There's my two cents! :)
