Resolution in PSE?

Does anyone know how I can find out what resolution my photos are in PSE? When I go to the Resize option, it always has 72 dpi in the box, but I know that I'm not taking photos in 72 dpi...

Where do I go to see what resolution something is??

The resolution that it comes up in doesn't really matter, as long as the pixels are there. You'll notice that it's like 50 inches or something at 72 dpi...no biggie because it resizes/adjusts itself when you go to print or if you drop it onto a 300 dpi canvas.

you can tell the resolution if you right click on a photo in your regular browser window (when you open the folder they are in on your computer) click on properties, go to the third tab which should say something like details and somewhere on that page itll list the DPI vertical and DPI horizontal I believe.

Ditto Bree when I shoot in RAW on my Rebel my pictures are 14.4 inches by 9.6 inches and 240dpi (3456ppi x 2304ppi). When I shoot in regular mode (I think the step right before "best" quality) my pictures are 48 inches by 32 inches and 72 dpi (3456ppi x 2304ppi). I can plop them both on a 12x12 background and they are the same size!!!

Bree's right you just want to make sure you have enough pixel.....the dpi usually doesn't make a difference!!!
