We're having a... oh darn!!!

So, we went for our first ultrasound yesterday, thinking we would find out if we're having a boy or a girl-

For one, the tech almost killed me (an insensitive man!) by pushing the thingy really hard over my C-section scar! I wanted to get up & run, and I would've if I knew that...

He couldn't tell what we're having! :(
I really wanted to find out, but I guess I have to wait for another month or whatever.

But get this- this baby's fat! LOL! It's the right measurements for how far along I am (when he measured the head and arm & leg bones, etc.) but he said the baby weighs about 9 oz. right now- when at this stage, they usually weigh 5 1/2
I find it so funny that babies can be so different from one to the next. My 3-year old was severally premature (he was born 9 weeks early because I had pre-eclampsia- he weighed 1 lb. 15 oz. at birth! Now this one's weighing in at almost double what they're normally. Thank God I have to have a repeat C-section! LOL!

And this one's extremely active! It wouldn't stop moving at all (which was probably why he couldn't tell what it is). And he caught it sucking its thumb! :)
(I hate saying "it"- I wish I could say "he" or "she"!)

awww that stinks..been there done that. I had a yoga baby with my next to youngest daughter. We didn't get to find out w/her til I was 25 weeks! Was awful lol

Good luck that you get another one soon and they can tell..hard to choose names and decorate an it huh haha

aw bummer.... it's funny, I had to have an insane amount of u/s's because I was so high risk.. and we NEVER could see what connor was lol.

Hopefully you'll find out on the next one!

I wouldn't worry to much over the weight - I was induced early because of the fear that the baby I was carrying was big. Nope, he was only 7 lbs. The ultrasound results can be pretty far off.

Too bad you didn't get to find out what you were having! Natalie REFUSED to move for the entire u/s that I had (we only get 1 here unless we're high risk or another one is needed for medical reasons), so I wasn't able to find out what she was...almost drove me crazy! :)

Congrats on a happy and healthy baby! Woo hoo! Sorry you weren't able to tell if it was a boy or a girl, that would frustrate me too!

awww, bummer about your shy little one! Both my boys were more than willing to show us their... uh... goods. LOL

And no worries about the size of the baby. They told me that Cam was almost 9lbs at 37 weeks and he was born at 39 weeks at 7lbs 1oz.

I'm sorry he hurt you and then couldn't tell you what sex the baby is...here is something to be grateful for though...at least you saw ONE baby in there - when I went to find what sex my last baby was - I found out I was having TWO!!! Both boys! hehe

Sorry he couldn't see what you are having. At least you'll have another chance!

For three of my kids, I went and had the 3d u/s along with the gender check. They seem to be so much nicer than the u/s techs at the imaging building.

LOL, I bet that's quite a shock!

Aww I am sorry babe :( I Know that wait is SO killer. I know what you mean about using "it" I felt bad but I slip now and we already know the sex LOL What can you do. Sorry the guy was a total jerk!
