I've just about finished season 2 on DVD...I was wondering if they're going to continue with another season or not..anyone know? I'm just curious to know if they're ever going to let John Rhys Davies actually look like Henry VIII did at that time in his life lol! Not that I mind looking at him they way they've portrayed him in the show :p

I haven't watched yet but I have Seasons 1 and 2 in my Netflix queue to get soon cause I love Jonathan Rhys Myers! I'm pretty sure Season 3 is supposed to air on Showtime sometime in 2009, I don't think the exact date has been announced yet though. We don't have Showtime so I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD anyway.

I watched a couple episodes in the summer, I think...it was on right before something else I watched and so I'd turn on the TV so I wouldn't forget to watch the show I liked...and watch it too, lol. I didn't get to into it, though...I want to read the books by Philippa Gregory first (I know that the series is not based on her books, and that her books are more fiction than history, but I know quite literally nothing about the Tudor era and so don't want the book series to be "spoiled" for me). I will probably watch The Tudors after I've read all the books, though...only 3 to go! :)

Myers..duh..I had him and the guy from LOST both on my mind last night I guess lol..

Bree - this series can pretty much be said that it is "based loosely" on the Tudors...the main facts are right but they changed many little details that kind of bugged me...like they had Henry's best friend Charles Brandon marry his sister Margaret when he actually married his sister Mary and she lived many years before she died...and of course there's Henry who was much older and fatter by the time he married Anne than they portrayed in the show..I've read pretty much anything and everything about the Tudors lol..I'd say Gregory's books are more accurate than the show in some cases..the best author on the Tudors though is Jean Plaidy..her books are very accurate and good reads..she wrote LOTS of them and pretty much had a book centered around each of the wives and Henry.
