GRRRRR! I'm so mad at my kids I could scream! They have a friend over and, with this particular friend (actually Riley's friend), they fight like crazy... Regan especially. They were at the table "eating" lunch and I kept having to tell them to "sit down, calm down & eat". They were bouncing off the walls... crumpling the rice cakes into tiny pieces, crawling under the table... you'd think I fed them straight sugar. Anyway, after telling Riley for the 1047th time to CALM DOWN, I hear a thud... look over... and see my CAMERA (Digital Rebel xsi w/$350 lense) on the floor. OMG, you did NOT just knock my camera on the floor!!! She instantly started crying because she knew how much trouble she was in. I told them all to go to the playroom, close the door and DO NOT come out. lol So far, my camera seems to be ok... but what is it with kids not listening to the simplest of instructions?

Oh NO!!!! I really hope that your camera is okay!!! I would be absolutely sick to my stomach. Good for you for sending them to the playroom... I would have blown up and bad things would have happened, lol.

Maybe you should think about not allowing this friend over until they can control themselves?

OMGosh! Congrats for staying so calm, I would have screamed and kicked some butt BIG TIME!!!

Oh, BTW, your new ticker is just so cute!

I would have totally lost it in that situation and hope your camera will be ok. I think though that kids seem to know when we are stressed the most ourselves and tend to push it at those times. Or maybe it just seems that way to me!! I would defenitely not have that child over in the near future or maybe have a "picnic" lunch outside if possible (if it isnt to cold that is!!) that way their bouncing off the walls isnt so bad because they are outside and that kindaa behavior is a little more acceptable when kept outdoors. Regardless Im sorry it sounds like you are having a very difficult day and hope it starts getting better for you!!
