I'm a fan of Joanna's. I own her CD. I'm actually glad she's been DQd. She should have been cut after she forgot her words on group day (and every other day that week.), Simon plainly stated that anyone forgetting the words would be cut. And yes, I know she wasn't the only one who forgot and didn't get cut...they should have been too. Shoot, Jamar could be in the top 36 if they'd been cut.

Interesting that they chose to do something now when there's been rumors surrounding her the whole time. I didn't really think it was fair that she made it to the top 36 to begin with since she forgot the words for every song she sang. She has all this experience, she should have been able to handle the pressure much better than that. If anyone else had done they would never have gotten through.

That's the thing though, none of it was rumor. And the current rule is that you cannot have a current contract with any label OR management group. I'm glad she's been DQd, but I am curious as to which rule she broke.

I am too. If it was a clear violation of some rule, why not just come out and say what the problem was? It doesn't seem like it's an issue with her past contract since they knew about that and there's been other contestants in the past that continued on under those circumstances.
