kiddo nicknames..

lauren grier

you're like stars
so we all give our kids cutsie nicknames.. it's just how it goes.. ce has a million..

but he just told me what his dad calls him.....

and .. well... I just don't know..

apparently his dad calls him... meathole O_o

wth?

OK that is mighty weird if I do say so...meathole????????? I don't even know how to respond to that

I have a ton of knicknames for all of my kids but my favorite would have to be for Tyler (one of the twins)...I call him Stinky Pete!!!!

I call my two younger ones (they are now almost 15 and 13)... Love Bug and Sugar Lips ... the irony of it is "Sugar Lips" does NOT kiss! Haven't gotten a kiss from him since he was a toddler....but he gives one heck of a rib crusher bear hug. lol

My oldest had several nicknames..."sweetie pie"...and ??? at age 20 it is hard for me to remember what I called him....I sure hope I wrote it down somewhere. ahhhhhhhhh now I remember Megan reminded me...I called Scott "punkin"! How did I forget that?

Meathole....Goes into the 'things that make you go huh" category....

I guess the most important thing is to ask CE if the being called that by his dad makes him feel good or not.

OMG! OK, Meathole is CRAZY WEIRD! I call my son bug or buggy boy or buddy. I call Aubrey, just Bree or punkin or baby girl.

Meathole is just weird.

Joey is - J, J-man, bug, bubba, buddy, sweets
Abby is - Abs, punkin, princess, babe

Yeah, Meathole would be a funny-halfway cutesie nickname between SOs if they had the same weird sense of humor, but not parent to kid.

Tyler's mom always calls him Monkey (something I pointed out to Jeff recently in convo & he had no clue! *lol*), and they both call him Bubba and Bubbie.

Jeff's dad calls all the grandkids (all boys) by gurl names i.e. Rosemary, Martha, etc. I'm not sure what will happen if he has a granddaughter. Will he call her Bernard or Aloycious?

we call the boys 'The Demons" and refer to our neighbors "The Future Plaintiffs". :)

They are Havoc & Mayhem online and individually Little Man, Little Love (both interchangeable), Howler Monkey (Seriously DS1 has a shriek that sounds exactly like one) & Whiny Bear

Meathole, huh. I agree, what does Ce think of it?

I call my kiddo Angie most of the time, short of Angel not Angela so prn differently. Does that make sense? lol When he's not that he is Monkey or Monk.

Meathole? That's weird. :glare:

Caroline is C, Priss, Care Bear, Cara Gracie, and when she was little, Princess Fussypants.

Ryan is Ry, Ry-Ry (C calls him that), Bud, Ry Guy...

On and on...

Meathole is pretty weird, I agree.

I haven't really had any nicknames for my daughter, but DS's name is Logan & I call him Logi Bear. (Rhymes with Yogi Bear). When he was a baby it was "Porkchop" cuz he was a lil chubster. Once in a while if he does something ornery, I'll call him a little turd and he'll say "No! I'm a big turd!"

My youngest daughter is called Stinky. Poor girl. It started when she was born and my then 3yo had discovered Teletubbies on PBS (I banned the show but she found it on one time) and kept saying Stinky Winky (she had a speech delay so that is how she said the name instead of Tinky Winky). It just kind of moved onto the baby and we eventually dropped the Winky part and just started calling her Stinky.

My middle daughter (the 3yo from above who is now 6) used to be called Squawky because when she was born she sounded like she was squawking when she cried. I used to refer to her as The Super Duper Extra Squawky Butt and she answered to Squawky until she was 4, lol.

Yeah that is weird LOL.

My daughter goes by several Avie-Pavie, Ava-Raver, The Aviator (lover not a hater)... we're into rhymes here :) xxx

Meathole just tacky. T is such a problem, La. lol

As for our kids' nicknames, Cameron goes by Cam or "C" or "brother" (per Connor). Connor goes by Little C (used to be Baby C, but he doesn't like the baby part anymore lol).

oh and my kids have normal nicknames: hamburgerpit, chickentunnel, beefburrow, steakgash, fleshcavity...you know.

Meathole is definitely the strangest one I've heard for a nickname! And Lizzy... I'm lmao! You are too funny!

Andrew usually gets called Bubba, Handsome or Monster depending on his mood.

LOL...DH calls the kids "meathead" sometimes...it's a nickname he picked up from a friend who called their daughter that.

But usually Mason is Buddy, and Natalie is Baby (from me) and Honey (from DH). Or we shorten their names to Mas and Natty.

Meathole?

I am terrible with nicknames:

Ivy Bean Last name (last name sort of rhymes w/ bean it a cutesy rhyming thing).
Snuggle Bean
Ivy Iverson
The Ivester
and many, many more.

I agree: T is the meathole, and he is such an issue...

That being said, I have all kinds of crazy and not so crazy nicknames for my DDs. Natalie is often Nat or Natty, and Keira is Keek, or KikiDoodle, but Kiki more often than not (that's what drew me to the name Keira)....however, I often refer to them as "the girlies" or even more often, sista ("I don't know why you think you are going to have some M&Ms there sista"), and if they are being silly, they are dodos.

Best story: the first time I called Nat "sista" she said to me, "Kiki's my sister, not you."

I love nicknames.
My DD Juliana is Julie, JuJu, Jooj, Mooshie, Peachie Pie and about a million others.

My DS, Daniel is Dan, Dan the Boy (instead of Dan the Man ;) ), Buster, Punkin' or just plain Punk.

Meathole...you gotta question the guys sanity... :D

I call Kristen by her name and babe most of the time. With Kaylee I have many names besides her own...Baby, Babe, Boo, Bickie Bickies, Boo Boo, Bubber, Bubs...funny how they all start with B...hmmm...

Meathole is a little weird.

My kids are Bub, Bubba or Bubby; Buggaboo, Bug, BuggaBugga or Buggy; Sweet Pea, Baby Girl or Muffin. The baby's the only one without a B nickname.

Weird...T has some issues.
Landen is and always will be my Sweet Monkey...
Connor is C-Man or Con(thats Landens nick name that has stuck)
&
Zachary is Z-Man or Zacky PP...Bad I know but my grandpa started it and it just kinda stuck!

my middle son was born really close to thanksgiving and being as though he weighed 11 pounds at birth people started calling him my little turkey so that kinda stuck. He hated it though so I dont call him that. I refer to him as "my little monkey" because he loves climbing trees. Even though he is 15 and is no longer little to me (hes 5 ft 11 now) I still call him my little monkey. My daughter was called Queenie for awhile and Chris. My youngest is called by his middle name Tyler and Porker as a baby because he was such a chubby little thing. Thats all I can remember now. Im sure there are more. I called them all sweety and sweetheart at some time or another also

My little girl Jocelin lets see we have Jo, JoJo, Joci, Jocibug, buggita..and my ever so favorite girlfriend..just like SirScrapalots Sista. LOL it was funny because my best friend and her daughter are living with us and they're around the same age (almost 3) and I said Okay girlfriends...she states to me.."no aunt rara that's your daughter and i'm your she thinks for a minute daughter too?" lol Three year olds are the best...:)) Randomness...:):)

We are not a big nickname family... my husband and kids are hon to me most of the time. But our son we have been calling him "Slimeon" (his name is simon)for a while since he drools and nose wipes on everything and at 14 months is often just plain gross. He likes to give big wet slopppy open mouth kisses too. EEW! Miranda (3.5) said it first - Mommy!! He SLIMED me!) We also call him on occation Stinker, Mr. No-Pants, and Monkey-butt.
I used to call Miranda turtledove and turtle and sometimes Miranda Banana...but non of those really stuck.

Love nicknames! Jason is Jay and Jay Guy. Ben is Ben Hen (nicknamed by Jason). Both boys are Little Guy. Lauren's is still a work in progress: Fuss Face, Girly Girl, Little La, and many more.

Oh, and Kaylee calls Kristen "Kiki" because at one point she couldn't pronounce it the right way. It has stuck, and Kaylee is the ONLY one who calls her that..a cute little sister/sister thing. :)
