blinkie size help?

What size do you make your blinkies? I realize that mine seems distorted and blurry.

Someone help, what am I doing wrong?
 
I begin with a blank 150x50px canvas and create from there.... resizing each item to fit. It's hard to resize finished banners like yours without it looking squashed and distorted.
