a bowflex next week! Sears has on on sale for $599! we don't get paid til wednesday but they said the sale is until the 26th. Woot! DH has been going to the gym for a few weeks and i started going this week everyday since Monday. i feel so good! working out is awesome! :D i spend 20-25 minutes on the elyptical and treadmill (walking; i'm afraid to run :D) and sometimes i'll use this ab machine or the leg press but usually just the elyptical and treadmill. i'm trying to concentrate on my butt/legs/abs. i just feel so good afterward, and i sleep better. so we went looking today and decided we'd get a bowflex that way we can work out at home as well! i like this idea cause i'm a bit self conscious at a gym so now i will be able to do it in the privacy of my own home, lol. the gym is still good, cause i can put the kids in the daycare and have some time away, plus there's a pool. but i have to get a swimsuit first; all i have in my drawer are bikinis from my younger pre-kid years and there's no way i'm putting one on in public :D

go me! i can't wait to see results. i can feel a tad bit in just these few days but it will be nice to get rid of this bit of belly and tone up me butt :D

I'd save the $$..I think a gym membership is enough..shrug

it does feel great after you workout though huh? Really though, I think the $600+ in your savings acct or paid toward your furnace loan especially in these economic times is better than a bowflex sitting in the living room.

I guess..um you and chad are doing better?

I'm with Meghan... what about those emergencies you keep not having money for??

I'd love one though. I told Shane if I have trouble losing the baby weight this time, we're getting something for me at home this summer.

I agree with the Meg and Sarah. I would save that money in case there are other problems that happen in your house.

well, this would be the last big purchase for awhile. we have some property taxes we are going to get paid off, and then when those are paid we are going to start paying an extra couple hundred on the car payment to try to get it paid off sooner. we want to get another house someday but our credit score is making it difficult. it seems to be right in the middle, lol. we have extra money every month. we just didnt have enough to go out and buy a furnace. we are also going to start paying extra on the furnace loan. its not written in stone; i may try to talk him out of the bowflex. i would like to have atleast one of those elyptical machines. i love those. i just can only spend so much time at the gym and if i had something at home i'd get twice the workout. we are both really serious about getting in shape.

and yes we seem to be doing better. we both have stepped it up a notch in this marriage. he's been helping me out more with the kids and i have been trying to do better with the housework and just trying to be there for him more. we both have not been on the internet near as much as we were. that was a big part of our problem. we never spent any time together. i know a lot of you think i should forget him, but if we are both willing to try then we should.

I think people are just trying to help you, Corey. I just think that maybe that is not the best use of the $600, when you've said yourself that there are a lot of improvements that need to be made to the house.

oh i know. i'm not mad. sorry if it came off that way. there isn't a lot we want to do to the house now. atleast not a lot thats cheap, lol. that's why we want to just try to get another one. we were never going to stay here forever. we don't know how soon we'll be able to get a VA loan so we may be here awhile or we might not.

It doesn't have anything to do with Chad, and you not leaving him or giving him another chance. It has to do with finances. To be honest, you have posted so many times the past few months about money issues, emergency things you can't afford, a house that is in disrepair. It has nothing to do with us not wanting you to be happy or anything else. It has to do with priorities, in my mind. We want you to be happy, to have things when you need them, especially knowing the house isn't in good shape.

With that said, I agree with the others. You have a gym membership that you can take advantage of, so I don't see how a BowFlex can offer you anything that a gym can't?

I guess I can't understand the priority. I'd take the $600 and plunk it on the furnace loan, to help get it paid off and out of the way sooner.

i know. theres a part of me that doesn't want to. we have been talking for months about getting some of these bills paid. i have to put my foot down. i usually just give in to what he wants. but i know we'd feel better if we didnt have extra bills hanging over our heads.
