Hopefully within the next 2 weeks Jay and I are going to be getting new cell phones. I definitely want a blackberry...however I dont know if I want a blackberry storm or the blackberry curve. I HAVE to have a full keyboard, I would die without it. lol. (Compulsive texting)
My only worry about the storm is that the touch would go bad or something to that effect.
What do you think?
Do you have a blackberry, if so which one? Do you know anyone with the storm? Any advice??
Got a different phone suggestion??

I love my Pearl.
Like - loooooooooove it. Full keyboard and all.
Though I have heard great things about the curve - only know one person with a storm, from what he says there are still, shall we say, kinks.

Don't rule out the MotoQ - my dh has one and now swears his life may never be the same because of it. (he bought his because of function (windows based OS), I bought the pearl because it came in red. we all have priorities.)

I was going to get a curve..I got a Samsung propel instead b/c I don't have to have the extra data plan that ATnT makes me have with the blackberry....(it has a qwerty keyboard too)
I'm going to upgrade again when my dd's upgrade rolls around and give her my Propel..and I think I might get an iphone since I play with DH's constantly lol
We were looking into getting Storms and keep hearing there are a lot of kinks too. This was also from hubby's friend who is a Blackberry freak and just had to have it the second it came out. We've had the Curve recommended a lot, or to just go with the iPhone if we really want something like that. iPhone is what I've wanted all along, but we'd have to switch providers which I really don't want to do.

for what it's worth..I LOVE ATnT. We left Sprint after about 8 years and we just started our 3rd year with ATnT and have had no problems or the dropped calls that we had with Sprint.

I agree with Meghan! It really depends on your provider. Our personal phones are ATT and they are wonderful. My husband's work phone is a Blackberry something with Verizon and his coverage sucks. Some providers just have better coverage in areas than others.
I have also heard bad reviews of the Storm. One guy I know has one and the whole click thing does not work when he turns it horizontal.

This is where I'm at too. My Verizon phone is on it's last legs and needs to be replaced but I haven't seen any phones I like enough to pay for. I'd really love an iPhone but I had AT&T back before they merged with Cingular and while it was better than when I had Cingular, it was no where near as good as Verizon. This was several years ago though. Anyone know how AT&T compares to Verizon now?

I'm hoping my piece'o'crap Razr can hold out a while longer so I can take my time deciding what to do.

I have a friend that builds the Blackberries, she told me about the storm before it came out and said it would be awesome but I try never to get the first model of any release as it's always what they have to work out kinks in so I'm going to wait to get the next release which I think comes in August. :)
I have verizon and have had nextel with work which I hate and will never get a nextel again. I have never had any issues with Verizon, it has worked everywhere I've traveled, FL, CA, TX, NY so I'm a lifetime customer of theirs! I have friends with Cingular/ATT and they like that too.

I have a Curve and I hate the tiny keyboard (esp after this was an upgrade from my LG Envy - which had a great keyboard). But...I like ALL of the other features - so many that I'm still amazed at what all you can do with that phone! I got mine right when the Storm came out and the guy at Verizon actually talked me out of getting the Storm because he said so many people were returning them - I guess too many bugs.

It was a toss up between the Propel and the Pearl...the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 won. The only issue with me is, it's an extra $30 a month to have the unlimited data package that allows internet use(you can drop it anytime.) With other phones it's $10. I am commited to two years with this phone, and didn't want to feel like I was missing out on any of the technologies, even though it seems like they are always changing. We also got a 20% discount on our bill, Dh works for Ford. So we could justify it.
I am not tech savy...but absolutely love this phone!!! :)
ETA: Dh has the Samsung Eternity and loves it! He did a lot of research and this has similar applications that the IPhone has without the huge price tag. With the IPhone it wasn't a choice to pay $30 extra a month for the data package and you couldn't drop it. His is $10 a month.

I am a Blackberry user...had a Blackberry Pearl for two years, tried to switch to the Samsung Behold - that lasted two months! I hated it - just got my new Blackberry Curve 8900 and I LOVE it!!!

The guy at ATnT tried to get me to get this one..I liked the look of it (resembles and iphone and it touch screen). I don't remember why I didn't get it..might be my green obsession and the propel comes in green haha

I just got the same phone today (the pearl). I'm a tad stumped on usage because I've had a Razr for years, but I like it.

I have a Pantech....Matrix I think, not the Duo but it looks just like the Duo. I wanted the full qwerty keyboard but the blackberry's are just too small for me to use as phones. Plus they are extra charges. The Pantech slides one way for a keyboard and another way for the phone making it a good size for me. I had to call around to every AT&T store in a 40 mile radius to get the green one I wanted but I did eventually find it.

I thought about the enV2 but I'm thinking the blackberry curve may have won my heart. I'm still debating on it all. And I have to go to the verizon store to look at the phones. I think after I actually touch and play with the phones to get a feel I'll be able to make my choice.
