This is a bit strange to ask, but I'm curious. When you brush your teeth, do you use cold or warm water?
I've always used cold and never even thought of using warm - mostly because it feels kinda icky to mix toothpaste with warm water. Maybe I'm just totally weird, though.

I use cold to get my toothbrush wet and lukewarm to rinse. Cold water burns my mouth after brushing.

I use HOT water.... I have really sensative teeth to cold, don't even want to *think* about brushing with cold! Plus I like the way the hot water softens the bristles :)!

I've always used cold. I can't stand lukewarm water in my mouth. Once I had been washing my face or hands or something and then went to brush my teeth and forgot to let the water run cold and when I went to rinse with the lukewarm water in the cup I almost gagged and choked. I immediately dumped out the warm water and filled the cup with cold so I could rinse.

I use warm water. I have a strict dental regime that I have to follow, and that's what my dentist recommended.

I guess I would say lukewarm. Sometimes cold if I end up in a hurry and don't pay attention but never hot.

I started brushing my teeth in the shower when I was pregnant with DD1...now I just do it out of habit. So, I use warm.

I use as cold as I can stand ... or sometimes lukewarm if I'm having sensitive teeth at the moment. I think it leaves my mouth feeling cooler and cleaner when I use cool water. If it is warm, I almost feel like I didn't brush my teeth at all, kwim? Well, those who prefer warm won't relate, but maybe some others will. lol.

Me too. I'm actually surprised at all the people that use warm or hot. I can't stand it that way.

Okay, I never even thought about people using warm or hot water!!! I definitely use cold. If I thought about using warm (which I haven't and probably won't) I would probably rule it out by the fact that it takes 100 years for our water to get warm.

I think if you ever drained a hot water tank, you might think twice about using anything but cold. ;) :p

Lukewarm for me, I have super sensitive teeth and will be in pain for 10 minutes if I use cold...
I guess cold because I just turn the water on and use whatever comes out... which is always cold.
I rinse with cold though. I like the way it makes my mouth feel fresh and clean afterwards
