Any one want to come over for gumbo?

My dinner party turned into a pity party. I was supposed to be hosting a Mardi Gras party tonight (since DS has swim lessons tomorrow.) I bought $200 of groceries and party supplies only to find out today that only ONE of my guests can make it for dinner and another can make it for drinks. (Forget the fact that I had people RSVP last week that they were coming.)

I cooked 1/2 the day yesterday - so anyone want some gumbo, crawfish etouffee, shrimp creole, and king cake? (Oh, well - guess the freezer will be stocked.)

I cancelled the party BTW due to the lack of "interest." Sigh.

Awww!!! I am SOOOO sorry. That's happened to me before, and I cried. It's so disappointing. People are seriously so flakey. I would have come if I were there! And I'd love to eat that food...it sounds simply amazing!

I think that is why I don't host parties...I hate having no one show up.
