Prayers needed - UPDATE on post 20 (prayers answered!)
Haven't been here much, but I just wanted to ask you lovely ladies to say a prayer for my dad. After getting a procedure done and multiple trips to his cardiologist, the doctor urgently told him that he needs a quadruple bypass. He's got several areas of calcification in his artery and that is the only way to relieve it. He also has a leakage in his valve and an anuerysm. All have to be dealt with separately, different surgeries are needed.
The thing is they are just visiting here, they live in the Philippines. They are covered by Medicare here, but are staying in a hotel. They're talking about flying home and getting it done there, but there's no coverage, everything will be out-of-pocket. He would be recovering at the comfort of home though and has more help there than he does here.
I'm not sure what to do, it's not up to me but I'd feel better if he had it done here so I can see him. I know that's being selfish but at least I can visit him and know that he's int he hands of some if the best surgeons in the country.
