I would extract the photo, copy, paste as new image. then duplicate the layer so you have 2 layers of the picture- on the bottom layer, select outside the photo, invert, expand about 20 or so pixels (however may pixels that looks good) then color that selection on the bottom layer white, then merge both layers-that should do it - there maybe an easier way, but this is what came to me right away-hope this made sense
