All you have to do is give a 4-year-old 2 sticks and see what happens.
So far this morning, the sticks have been:
hurdles, wedged between the walls so she could jump over one and then duck under the second one
a hobo's backpack type thingie - you know in the movies when they tie a handkerchief on the end of a stick and leave...well, she put a small backpack on hers, filled with toys, and walked around like that for a while
a kite, when combined with a poster (she tried to tape it but I took the tape away - so it's just laid out as a kite but not usable, lol)
