Brandon Cheated

So, my twins are 5 and in kindergarden. Derek has been "in love" with Emily since the first day of preschool last year. He is consistant. Natalie has sworn for months now that she doesn't like Brandon. But she came home from school on Friday and announced that she is "In-love" with Brandon.
So, imagine my dismay when Derek tells me that "Brandon cheated on Natalie.
ME: "What does that mean Derek?"
DEREK: "He said Tiffany is hot, that means he is cheating on Natalie"
Natalie commences to throw herself on the floor bawling.
WTH??? They are 5!
And what kind of parents does Brandon have that he says a 5 year old is hot????
 
There's a kid in Faith pre-k that said she has a nice "booty"... luckily his parents are totally cool so I brought it up mostly because I thought it was kind of amusing and his dad goes to him, "So, what do you think a booty is?"















DUH Dad, pirate treasure.
 
Annie, that is awesome! I am cool with Derek loveing Emily. Her Uncle ( ironically named Brandon) was my boyfriend in Kindergarden. Her mom and I were good friends in high school. But this brandon kid is bragging about Hot Tiffany to her TWIN BROTHER!!! Talk about dissing my baby!!!!
 
lmao...I like Derek's defination. He's strict. ;)

How come Faith has some pirate treasure anyway? ;)

TOTALLY teach her the zig-zag snap..."Oh no you DIDNT!" That'll teach 'im! :glare:
 
In the parent's defense..I'm pretty sure I have commented to hubby playing around before that so and so on tv was hot..etc...it's not degrading, etc in our house and I have small kids..I mean my 4yr old has calld my MIL a hooker before thinking it was a term of endearment (once again my fault...b/c um i call a select few friends hookers when we talk on the phone)..again kids hear EVERYTHING (except when you tell them to clean their rooms..etc)

I think the story is kinda cute lol
 
And...umm....I'm just saying....Meg totally didn't learn to call people hookers from me....... :p

I'm a little confused as to who likes who and is cheating on who, but I think it's cute. I'm sure the one doesn't really know what he means when he says the other girl is hot, lol.
 
my son is 6 and will sometimes say a girl in his class is beautiful .. I think its cute and then I say something to him and he gets all shy and omg mom girls are gross on me lol.
 
when DS was in kinder, a girl called him sexy and he had to come home and ask me what it meant. I was shocked someone that age even knew that word!! Crazy I say!!!
 
Oh the drama!

Last year, when Jack was three, he told me that Goiz (a girl) isn't his friend because he loves KoKaiYen. :) (And yes, I was proud when I saw that KoKaiYen is the cutest girl in his class, lol.)
 
As a mom of a 5 year old boy - I want to put the disclaimer (same as I told his teachers the first day of school) out there - the opinions of that child may not reflect those of his parents.

I'm just sayin'...
 
DS has a had a pretty consistent "girlfriend" since he was two; they're now 4 1/2. :) His teacher recently told them to quit hugging in class (why? they're 4?)
 
I love this. I mean, I have a 14 year old with real boy drama, so I am sure that my kids learn way too much from listening to us talk. But there is no cheating being spoken of. So I was cracking up pretty hard when Derek outed the little louse.
I firmly believe that Derek will love Emily till the day he dies. He is a romantic little thing. And I am sure Natalie will feed the drama for years to come. And I think they will always have thier noses in each other's business. The joy of twins.
