I mean, it stands for The Daily Scrapper, right? But I can't really figure it out. I find the site to be a bit hard to navigate. Is it a weekly publication? Daily? Who does it? I saw that they were doing a free kit; do they do that often? Do you have to subscribe? Can someone give me the 411 on it?

It's Janet Phillips' pet project, dear. That's why she retired from designing at SBG. I believe Stephanie/islandsmom/Fontologie at SBG is her right hand woman.

The point is for it to be a gleaning of all the major goings on/information one needs as a digi scrapper, beginner or otherwise, w/o needing to visit a ton of different sites every day to gain the same information. There is a new article every day (or nearly), and there's a different weekly theme for the day i.e. every Sunday is the Undigi. This works out great for those of us over here since she is on your side of the world so can get things put up while we are still sleeping. :)

There is a monthly grabbag kit sponsored/created by various digi designers that J. uses to support the site. Since the site is subscription-free, this is the way she makes enough $$ to pay for it. The grabbag is on sale from the 15th of the month through the 13th-14th of the next month, but she reveals each designer's contribution week by week until the whole thing is revealed (if you don't like the surprise element of grab bags) right before she takes it off the site.

... I think that might be it. Any other questions? :)

[You know either Emmy or I know all the digi scrap gossip there is to know, so hit one of us up anytime.]

Oh, you're right. Sorry, Kellie. I know nothing abt The Daily Scrapper aside from it's supposed to be like a newspaper. :)

It's a bi-montly newspaper run by Alice Koh. It's a store/newspaper/feature that takes advertising, chooses designer product to promote (I was in it a couple of weeks ago for my Black & White & Red All Overlay alpha), etc. They promote a specific designer per issue it looks like, and do a lot of giveaways in it. It's not tied to any specific store, though it does have it's own store attached.

It also features scrappers and scrap trends in their issues too...I know both Samara and I were features for hybrid projects!!! It's definitely a good read for the $$ :D

So you DO have to pay to read it? That would explain why I find it difficult to navigate, lol.

Congrats on being featured, Elizabeth!

lol...when I was reading the first description of it, I was so confused cause I was like i bought the first grab bag, but I went to this site and it looked so different. Glad to know I wasn't that confused. ;)

I thought I saw something on this site that said $1, but it is free?
