Do you like the LO? If you do, then what does it matter how many comments you get?

I like it!
Don't feel bad about the no comment thing. I always have layouts with no comments. Most of the time it's the ones of mine where I really liked them too.
I really like how you made the strawberries stand out in your photos. Your title is great, too. Perfect for your page.

Sometimes they get lost in the gallery Jami. Especially on Fridays when all the new release pages are uploaded.
Over the weekends, I usually try to play the praise game so that some of my "not noticed" pages get seen.
I have layouts all the time with no comments. :)
If you're wanting comments on your layout you might have been better served to post a "unloved layout" thread and ask others to post theirs as well - posting a "does this layout suck or what" seems a bit on the attack kwim?
That being said, now that you've posted it - I'm sure you'll get plenty of comments on your cute layout. :)

I guess with all the work on did on the photos at the very least I just wanted one comment since it already had over 20 views already and no comments. I wish gallery comments were turned off so it wouldn't bother me.

You can turn them off when you upload your LO.

For what it's worth..I browse the gallery A LOT and rarely post..just don't have the time, nor do I expect comments on my own LOs
I used to comment on LOs A LOT and almost always got comments back. I tend to just hit the gallery link when people leave comments on mine and return the "favor" so to speak. I just wish I had more time for gallery browsing and commenting.

WOOT, I am closing comments to all my pages in the future! Thanks for letting me know about this Paula

Jami I think if you want comments you should def play the praise game. Especially if you are loading a LO on the weekend, the gallery moves so fast that it might not get seen. Try not to let it bug you, it happens to everyone!

You can also Close Comments for any page you've already uploaded. It's under Photo Options in the gallery.

I quit looking at my views on my LOs. I found it was upsetting me for no good reason. If I love the LO, then I don't care what others think. And if I do want it to get some comment attention, I put it in the praise game.
Otherwise, I ignore my view count and just enjoy any comments that come my way.

Honestly, I have tons of LOs with no comments on them. But then again I don't leave tons of comments either. I know some of them get lost in the shuffle. As far as views, I know sometimes I looks a LO just to see how a kit is used or cause it stood out, but I don't leave a comment. At least people are looking at it.

This is me too, I try to leave them when I post, sometimes I can't so I get back later and do some random posting.
It's why I don't like posting on Fridays either, because there is SO much new stuff coming out, the gallery is seriously hopping.
I have layouts with 0 comments as well, I think we all do.

yep sure enough, I have a bunch with 0 or only 1 comment on them.....I try not to let it get me down. sometimes I try to take a critical look at the layout but if I still love it, then oh well, guess no one else sees the same beauty in it I do

I really try hard to go around and leave comments, or return then when I can, but sometimes my computer is just running so slow, and I feel like I'm sitting here at it all day.
That being said, I do find it interesting as to which layouts of mine do get noticed, or even which layouts on different sites get noticed. Maybe one here won't get any comments, but then at a different site, it will get tons. Everyone likes different things, and honestly, I'm never offended if I have no comments. If I'm making it for a CT work, I think it is my job to promote the kit or font though, so I try to make it more seen.

I also always find it interesting to see which of my layouts get comments and which don't. The seeming randomness used to bother me, but the DST Praise Game sort of changed my perspective. I realized that sometimes a layout doesn't stand out at all in the thumbnail gallery, but when I'm "forced" to click on it through the Praise Game, it's an amazing page. So, really I think there are some layouts that just don't translate well in thumbnail form.
I think your layout looks wonderful. I love the photo technique. I use to get irritated when I had a layout that didn't get comments, I try to let things go now. I recently started to do the praise game which I love... honestly that's when I leave to most comments on other layouts too.

Jami, I love your LO. I think you're a wonderful scrapper. I don't upload many LOs, only those for challenges I participate in. So comments don't really worry me. I have learnt that if I love it that's all that matters.

I will admit that I do not always take the time that I probably could and/or should to leave some "love" on all the fabulous layouts that are showcased in the Gallery here....I do know what you mean about not getting one single comment on a layout that you really feel you did an awesome job on....I am relatively new to digital scrapbooking and I know my layouts are not the best, BUT to me, they are something special....I create my layouts for my own pleasure first, then if someone else views it and leaves me some "love" that is great too....If not, oh well....LOL

I have all sorts of layouts with no comments... it just happens.
I also think the more comments you leave for others, the more comments you will receive.
