I just had the best surprise EVER!! My 25 year old lives in Texas, and I'm in California. He usually calls and talks to us on his drive home from work, or he talks to one of his brothers. He called tonight at 10 pm, we were chatting, and then he said he had to hang up but he'd call us right back. I went downstairs for something and there was knocking at our garage door. I knocked back wondering who the heck was out there. I asked who it was and he said, "Ryan". I'm totally WTH now. I open it, my youngest literally jumps in his arms until I could pry him away, and I got my hugs and tears!!
I haven't seen him since October last year, but he and his girlfriend planned a little vacation here. He dropped her off in San Diego and headed up. One of my boys knows, but he kept it a secret from me.
Anyway...just had to share! Here he is in his lucky hat that I wish he'd throw away. He's had it for about 8 years!
