That's right, she is. Lena is the best auntie ever!!!
Let me explain. My son Gabriel has special needs. He's just the sweetest little guy. He's globally delayed in his development. His 6th birthday is this week! He'll be 6 tomorrow and his birthday party will be on Saturday. He is a very heavy sensory seeker. He loves to find things to feel and he'll run his hands over and rub his face on different fabrics/objects endlessly. He loves strings and ribbons and washcloths, mesh, Naomi's tutu, etc... He's always been hard to shop for in the toy department because he's not interested in the toys they make for his age and it's sooo hard to find 'just the right thing' for him. Most the stuff we buy for him ends up getting played with more by the other kiddos.
My brilliant sister had the best idea ever to make him a sensory blanket for his birthday!! It's sooo perfect for him! So we went to Joanns and picked out the fabric for me to buy and she made the blanket for him!! It's so perfect!
It has minky fabric, terrycloth, ribbed chenille and waffle fabric on the front side.

The back is this super adorable, ultra soft fleece-type fabric.

As you can see she also sewed grosgrain ribbon tabs all around the edges. I know he is going to looooooove this blanket so much. It will definitely be the best present he has ever gotten!
So as you can see....
Lena is the best auntie ever !!!
