Don't know how to access my new templates

I am new to this whole digital scrapbooking thing so sorry if this is a dumb question. I bought some premade page layout templates and downloaded them. Then when I go into Photoshop to open, it brings me to the small box that says Name, Width, Height, Resolution, etc. But after that it doesn't bring anything up! What am I doing wrong?? Does anyone understand what I am saying?? I need some help!

It sounds like you are on the right track. Click on the name of the page you would like to open and then click "Open" and it should load on your screen.

It pops up the box that asks me to name my project and give dimensions and after I do that it just gives me a white layout...nothing on it! What do I do????

Which program are you using? PSCS2?

Hey there,

Be sure to unzip your files before you try to open them in PS or PSE. Then you'll want to click File > Open from the menu at the top and a windows navigation box will come up. You'll want to search for the unzipped template in that window, choose the one you want to work with and then click Open. That should open the file and enable you to work with it in PSE.

It sounds like right now you're chooseing File > New rather than Open.

How do you unzip the files?? Like I said, I am new so this all a foreign language to me!! =)

Usually I look in my computer using Windows Explore. I access it by going to the green, "start" button on the bottom, left of my toolbar on my computer desktop. I right-click on that "start" button than choose Explore. Find the place that it's d/l to..then double-click on it. If you don't have software to open the zip file you can d/l WinZip (http://www.winzip.com/index.htm) or WinRar (http://www.winrar.com/).
