I bought the Twilight movie and now I just can't bring myself to watch it! :(

I am SO afraid that I will be disappointed!

Tell me I won't be...

I havent seen it yet. I am supposed to see it with a friend.....
but I keep being tempted.

I am afraid of the disappointment too.

If you're a "true to the book" kinda gal, I hate to tell you, but you won't like it. LOL

Not necessarily true if you go into it expecting that it won't be like the book..LOL there's LOTS of people who've seen it and read it and liked the movie, lots of people who didn't though :)

I enjoyed the movie. I watched it before reading the book and it was what made me want to read the book. I didnt notice huge differences in the book/movie...if they were there I wouldnt say they were huge differences.

I enjoyed the movie from the movie point of view...compared to the book I did think it was lacking. It's an entertaining movie though, so just go into it thinking that and you will be fine. :)

See I saw the movie and the movie made me want to read the books as I was really taken back with the love story. I read Twilight after the movie and I still don't think that the movie is terrible. I watched it again yesterday and I want to watch it again today. I am so sucked in now.

I think if you going in to it knowing it isn't as good as the book you will be OK. I didn't love it as much as I loved the book but I wasn't disappointed because I knew that ahead of time, KWIM?

Its not that great, but I went into it knowing it was low budget and that it could never compare to the book. Thus I didn't hate it, but it does have some scenes that are badly acted and it is very low budget, but not bad.

I'm going to watch it this afternoon and I'm going into it the same way that I go into the Harry Potter movies as they come out. Knowing that I'll enjoy it because I like the story, but realizing that there's NO WAY they can make the movie as good as the book. There's just no way to replicate the detail that books have in a movie, kwim? :)

That said, I'm still excited to watch it. :)

I read the book first and LOVED the movie...all movies are lacking when it comes to comparing them to a the book...you just can't get everything into a 120 minute movie :) we rate movies on whether they are a BUY movie or just a RENT movie and for me it was definetely a BUY MOVIE...and I am 38 years old and my DD 16 has no desire to see it, so who says you can't be a teenager again;)

I didn't like it. I couldn't block out what I knew of the books and I just was superbly disappointed. They better work on #2 in a serious way.

I've read all the books... and saw the movie. The movie was good, but I too found it lacking in the romance part of the story. I'm looking forward to the next movie, but I too hope that more thought and money goes into since they know how much of a hit the books and first movie was.

Okay, we watched it this afternoon and I loved it! I had braced myself to be severely disappointed and I wasn't at all. Dh watched it with me and he thought it was good too. :)
