don't forget..

??????????? No idea what you are talking about...but sounds kinda funny since I am working with the "Out of This World" kit at the moment. lol

is it just lights or everything?

weird to live blog during earth hour..i guess unless your laptop is running on battery lol

I'm looking at the site but still not getting it...is it to "preserve" electricity...it doesn't sound like it...I'm just not sure what it's purpose is...power off only on lights? not computers not heat? Maybe I am looking too deep? So you are supposed to watch TV by candlelight, go to bed...??? Not use any electricity? Sorry...this is totally new to me...

turn off the lights right? we always turn the lights off at night when watching tv. Im not sure I could get hubby to turn off the tv if it is everything LOL

Yeah, it's 8:44 here....I told DH what I was going to do and this was the response:

"I don't give a *insert f-word here* about Earth Hour"

So everything is still on here :glare:

It's 20:53 here in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil - and lights stay on here too, b/c my DD (3 years old) refuses to stop watch Charlie & Lola cartoon. And, really, I don't want to fight with her on our weekend... It's enough, to me, to turn down the TV over weekdays - b/c this cartoon is on TV right on her bedtime.
I give a break (for me and her) on weekends.
So, lights on!
Sorry, Earth. Really.

Thanks for the reminder La...they were saying on the news earlier, how many countries and cities were doing this...they said that even the casinos on the strip in Vegas were turning off their marquis. The reporter talked about how it's not really going to save energy, but really just to show some unity and support for our environment. For me, even if I don't think it's going to "save energy," I still like the idea behind it. I know though, that it's not always an option. Everyone is different.
