Monsters vs. Aliens

Has anyone seen this yet? I'm thinking of taking DS this week to the matinee for a little one on one time with him. He'll be 4 in May so I'm wondering if it's age appropriate for him or not.

We just got home from it, and it was really good. We took our 5 yo and our 3yo. The 5 yo really liked it, the 3 yo just had a hard time staying still. There wasn't anything overly scary, or things that the 3 yo didn't like. What I would do is to do some checking up on the characters before the movie...some kids may find the 350ft tall bug a little disturbing. Overall though, a good movie. And Bob the blog...yeah, he's the bomb.

That's what I'm kind of worried about...he's going through a phase where he's scared of certain things..movies he used to watch all the time he's freaked out by some now..like Finding Nemo he'd watch all the time and now he's afraid of the sharks so he won't watch it. Soo..Im not sure if he'll go for this one or not.

My 3-year-old was scared of the big bug. Enough for him to say, "I don't like that bug, mama". But he sat and watched the whole movie and really liked it. Its cute.

i dunno if he'll really 'get' it, but you will love it, nikki!! i cracked up. i think avery will love it anyway...it's so fun and colorful!!!

I haven't read what everyone else has said, yet. I didn't like it. My 5yo was bored. My 9yo thought it was good. It does have a few cute and funny parts, but it just wasn't all that good - and I went in to it excited, not expecting a crappy kids' movie. FWIW.

Has he seen the trailer for it? Maybe see what he says when you show him that.

I personally can't wait to see it!

I went last night and saw it my my 5 yr old and 6 yr old. They loved it and I laughed more than they did. Now my 5 yr old son keeps walking around saying, "We need to change to code brown"!!! LOL!!
