With all of my programs on it. And DH's Tank Overhaul shows which you CAN NOT seem to buy anywhere.... crap!

So, we are going back to a regular cable box and buying our own DVR that we can record to and burn from.
 
Ugh! Sorry, Kat! Our Moxi box died last summer with a lot of unwatched shows on it. That just really sucks. :(
 
We had this happen too our media center hard drive not to long ago..1 terabyte of home movies, kids movies, our movies, TV show etc..gone. :( I was so mad because the hard drive was less then a year old! So sorry you lost your stuff. :(
 
I read that you can record tv shows and movies to your laptop/desktop. Does anyone do this? If so, do you know how?

Missing my soap is going to kill me until I can get a replacement box next week!
 
Is what the Slingbox thing is?

That sucks Kat! We have Directv so we just use their DVR's. I don't know much about anything else.

Kat, your computer has to have a TV tuner on it. Andrew's desktop has this, and it's a pretty neat feature with one big drawback for us. You cannot burn the shows to DVD. We were able to do that with the Moxi box and we can do it with the current box too.
