Eeeeek! So Nickelback's concert was last night, and it was freaking AWESOME!! If you have a chance to get tickets, don't wait, just BUY them already, lol! I'd go again if I could, lol...

We got to the building at about 6:40 and the lineups to get in were CRAZY...the concert started at 7, but we didn't get in until about 7:15. And when we DID get in, the lines were at least twice the length they were when we got there. Anyhow, so Saving Abel had already started and we couldn't find our seats because it was pitch black in the hallway we were walking through, lol. An usher finally helped us, lol. But we managed to hear Saving Abel's 2 main songs (18 Days and Addicted) and a new one they recorded for Nascar. They really tried to work the crowd but nobody was really into it, lol...plus only half the fans were actually IN there at that point, lol.

Seether was up next and people were going crazy. They were really good, but they didn't talk at all to the crowd and just had absolute noise between songs, you couldn't tell what song they were doing until they started singing. They only played a few of the favorites, and a bunch I didn't know (I think off their first album, because I have their newest one and they aren't on there, lol). Still, it was awesome. :)

During the intermission we were just sitting there waiting for Nickelback to come on and there were explosions on the stage...lights went out and there they were. People were FREAKING out, lol...it was amazing. They started out with Something In Your Mouth. Chad Kroeger between songs was hilarious (beware, though...he talked mostly about weed, lol - he could smell it from on stage, almost the whole place was smoking). I was screaming with the best of them and singing along to all the songs, it was just AWESOME! The pyrotechnics were pretty cool, too.

The concert lasted 4 hours, lol...we weren't expecting that long, but it was definitely fun!! I am looking forward to their NEXT tour, whenever it may be...I'm SO there, lol!

Oh, yeah...and let's not forget that the people behind us (a family, with 3 kids) spilled popcorn on us...TWICE! LMAO! First on my SIL and BIL, the boy started crying, the poor kid. Then the mom spilled it on DH and I and the popcorn went down my PANTS. This was as soon as Nickelback started so I couldn't even do anything to get it out of my crack, lmao...talk about uncomfortable. I didn't get it all out until we got home, lmao...

How exciting Bree! That sucks about the people behind you though, wth are they thinking taking kids to a rock concert?!? The closest they'll be to us is 3hrs away in KC or we'd totally be getting tickets!

We've seen Seether 3 times now, the first two times were in a big stadium/arena venue as openers for Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace and they were good but as an opener they didn't get too play many songs either time but they did interact with the crowd. The third time though was in a smaller venue here and they were the headliner and they were SO awesome that time. It was up close and personal and they were able to interact with the crowd alot and they played tons of songs. So if you ever have a chance to see them like that you should!

I'm glad you had so much fun, Bree! I was feeling so bad for you that you've never seen a concert before, so I'm glad the NB experience made up for it. :)
