Just gotta vent and love you folks so I know you'll put up with me. DD seems off and then gets a fever, so I take her to the doc to find she has an ear infection in BOTH ears AND strep throat. Yuck! I stay home with her Friday but both Thursday night and Friday night, she kept waking me up. Between her and my son having a nightmare both nights, I got up and walked back and forth between our bedrooms at least 10 times each night. Needless to say, I'm REALLY tired and feel pretty bad myself.
DS had his first flag football practice and game this morning. I was supposed to get my hair done (way overdue BTW) but knowing DD was sick, I cancelled my appointment so I could keep her at home while DH takes DS to flag football. DS is a tall lanky 5 year old who isn't exactly experienced- and was playing against kids 2-3 years older and bigger than him (obviously had we known it was K-2 we wouldn't have signed him up). DH said it was "painful to watch" and that he had no clue what to do. So what? He's learning right?
Then tonight, DH takes DS to a friend's house. The friend has a child who's almost 2 years older but we've not seen him in over a year or so. Anyway, the kids are playing soccer and DS keeps losing the ball, can't keep up with the bigger kids, etc. and starts to cry. Now, of course I don't want him to meltdown when things are tough, but it happens. He told DH he wanted to come home and so DH left and brought him home. DH was all huffy about it and said DS "is soft" and "needs to toughen up".
Part of me is mad at DH and part of me feels sad for DS... its just a bad day and I needed to let it out.:crying:
Thanks girls
