GM unveils new "two-wheeled" car...

I would like to see car companies work on vehicles that are actually FEASABLE!
A two-wheeled Segway-like car whose speed tops at 35mph is not something the average American family is going to want to buy.
Why don't we take some of these "two-wheeled car" characteristics and place them on a regular cost-effective car that will do the same things?
Grrrr.

At Epcot we went through a Segway tour and they talked about this a little. The guy was telling us about how they were using Segway technology to improve motorized wheelchairs and make mobility easier. I was pretty impressed. However this article seems a little 'out there' to me. I don't think I like the idea that a GPS would control the vehicle. But I'm probably just behind the times. LOL

HAHAHA - this is the same as a new single person vehicle that Toyota has in development and early production, and the car show that we were watching sent someone out to test drive it, and all he could say is..um...we have something like this in England already, and it's called a wheelchair.

Then they went and test out the more powerful stuff and it turned out to be a great people mover as it did go about 25mph.

But a Segway really is looking at the idea of single people moving in congested urban areas like NYC or London or Chicago - not really for suburban family life. They're looking ahead to times when they begin to shut off city centers to fossil fueled traffic the way London is considering. I know they're heavily taxing anyone driving within the city center in London now.
