I'm A- too and I fought long and hard during both my pregnancies to not get that shot! My DH is A- too and I had to absolutely convince them that he indeed was the father and that I wasn't lying and that I knew I would be putting my child and myself at risk if I was. And then they had the stupidity to ask me if he was sure of his bloodtype. Um....yeah the military only like types it every year for 12 years, I don't think it changed! (and I was being seen at the on base OB clinic at the time)

So both my boys are A- too. Guess we can always donate to each other if needs be, that is good!

I'm O+
DH is A+
I have two A+ kids (oldest girl and youngest boy)
I have two O+ kids (Youngest girl and oldest boy)
My first kids was A+
My last kid was A+
My middle kids are O+
Both my A+ kids have bright blue eyes
Both my O+ kids have green/hazel eyes

Oh gosh! DH is O+ so I had no choice but to get the dang shots. I'm telling you, shots don't bother me, but that one hurt more than any other I've ever had. I *get* why it's necessary, but it didn't make it suck any less. LOL!
 
I'm A+ :) Having a DUH moment though, why have shots if you are A- and pregnant? (I should Google this, I know, but I'm lazy)...

HOW do you keep any that info inside your brain I wanna know!! I have no clue what anyone's blood type is but mine...and I had to check my medic alert bracelet because I guessed wrong! lol ...oh and I'm A+

...and what is this shot for A- preggies?
 
if you're rh negative and preggo, you get rhogam shots

although i thought you always did being neg, but apparently some of you didn't!

i'm A+ btw and only know that because of being preggo before

I don't know I just like weird things like that....what's really sad is one of the reason I can't wait till this new babe is born because I can't wait to find out what type of blood he/she has. If it's O+ will they have dark eyes like my other two or if they have A+ blood will they have blue eyes !?!!? :D :D My kids are like my very own science experiment!!! :D :D :D

Oh you have me ROTFL with this! I'm always afraid to keep this type of stuff in my brain...afraid something important like an appointment will fall out the other ear. I wanna know how you don't have Mommy Brain like the rest of us?

Well they always give it to you unless you kick and scream! It is because if the father is positive then the baby could be positive to. But if the father is negative then there is no way the baby could be. But they have had enough women lie about who the father is,or not know the blood type of the father (for sure) they automatically give the shot now to CYA. But being a chemist and having been through anatomy class (audit) I knew about how it worked so I fought it because I have heard it does feel like antifreeze going in. I'm just stubborn.
 
I have A+, Andrew's is O-.

JP has A- from his dad. When we found out his blood type, I teased his father that I'd scored higher on the tests that day.

I think Devin has A+. I've never asked though.
 
I'm A+...dh is A+...both boys are A+ LOL!

And the shot is if the mother is rh negative and the father is rh positive. The mother's body could reject the baby because of the difference in rh factor. It's OK if the mother is positive and the father is negative, but not the other way around. The only reason I know is because one of my cousins is rh negative. Been there with her when she had to have the shot...OUCH!
 
We're all A+ here... I know because I lost so much blood during my emergency c-section (I had a placenta previa bleed out incident) that I go dh's blood! He banked it for me a few weeks before just in case!
