I can't remember if I've mentioned this around here or not...I know I did in the designer area, and told my team...but anyway.
I've been having gallbladder attacks for the last few years, on and off. They suck, they hurt SOO bad. Anyway, the doctors didn't believe me really that it was my gallbladder (I only suspected it because my mom and older sister have been through it and it sounded exactly like what I was going through). But, my doctor finally sent me in for an ultrasound and sure enough, I've got gallstones. I opted to just have my gallbladder removed (and the stones as well, obviously) instead of having the possibility of more attacks at any random time.
This all started happening around mid-February. I found out I was going for surgery about a month back, and I went in for pre-op a couple weeks ago. I was told it would be sometime in May before I could get in. But today the hospital called and booked me for surgery next Wednesday - they had a cancellation and I just want to get this over with.
I know it's a routine surgery, not TOO invasive...I'm a little bit scared but mostly worried about things around home while I'm out of commission. I've got friends and family all willing to help, though...so I'm sure it'll be OK.
So yeah...that's what's going on in my little world...
