AOL radio

I know that everyone else probably already knows about this but I JUST discovered it LOL. I love that they have stations that play a specific type of music inside of a genre. Right now Im listening to 90's country I think. So what is your favorite? Or if you dont like AOL Radio what do you listen to when you are online (that is free of course cause I dont have any extra $$$$ to spend right now)

I use Pandora. It sounds similar to AOL radio, but I can search by song title as well as artist and genre. I love that I can tell it if I like a song or not, that I can tell it to not play a certain song for a month. It learns what you like and dislike (so, since you're not a fan of Garth, it'll eventually figure out not to play his songs---not they his songs are on pandora, but you get the drift.)

I will have to check them out. I used yahoo music for awhile I think but it played so many songs that are kinda unknown musicians and not many that I really knew and I didnt like that. Something weird about this that I noticed is they play Eagles on country stations. I wouldnt really consider them country although I love The Eagles just thought that was weird

Every country station I've ever listened to plays The Eagles. They're definitely more southern rock than country, but I can see why the play them on a country station.

Pandora does play some unknowns, but they're basing the songs on the song/artist/genre you selected. There's even an option to ask why they played a song on that "station" should you think it odd that it's there.

I checked out Pandora. I like it alot...love that I can search out my favorite singers. So I type in Trace Adkins and it has played a few songs by him, one by Tim Mcgraw (yuck) and Toby Keith (yummmm) LOL

I'm a nerd (well that's no surprise) but I was wondering about Pandora after hearing about it. I have to have noise, so I can scrap with tv on but obviously then I'm not WATCHING... radio would be better! Thanks for the idea!

I've used Yahoo, but it started screwing up on me so I stopped. Now I pretty much just listen to iTunes...

OR, because my TV is right next to my computer, I can tune into one of the Galaxie radio stations on my satellite and listen to that.
