DH has made it through his first 30 days of sobriety! I am very proud of him, and he is doing really well. Not all of his friends "get it" but as he is learning, some of them weren't real friends to begin with.

Thanks again for your support and prayers.

((((hugs)))) to you and your DH! I hope he continues on this path, and congrats for making it this far...I know it can't be an easy thing!

Thats so great Amy. 30 days is no joke when it comes to sobriety. Just keep encouraging him like you have been! ((hugs))

I'm rooting for you too! I so wish my husband could do it. If you don't mind my asking...how has your dh found success in this area? Does he attend meetings , take meds, etc? I so wish my dh would get serious about quitting, before irreparable damage is done to our family.

Hooray, Amy! That is definitely something to be proud of. It has to be so hard and the fact that he made it this far, means that he is taking it seriously too.

That's awesome, Amy! *BIG HUGS* I've dealt with loved ones and alcoholism in the past, and it's SUCH a hard battle. Stay strong, sweets!

Oh wow!!! That is SO exciting! I'm glad he is seeing through those "friends" (used loosely here). I swear there are people put on this earth just to bring others down...and they know when someone is weak, and they swoop on them. I have a 21 year old bi-polar son who is learning that all those wonderful scum bags that he swore were his friends, but would get him drunk and then steal from him, are really not his friends and he just doesn't take calls from them anymore. It took a long time, but he's learning!

Totally...again...that is so awesome!

Amy, that is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! It brought tears in my eyes to read it. If he can do 30 days, he can do ANYTHING!! :)
