Danny Gokey Day in Milwaukee TOMORROW!!!

OMG. I so wish I had off of work tomorrow! Tomorrow is Danny Gokey Day. The parade, a free concert at the Summer Fest Grounds, throwing out the first pitch at the Brewer Game.... (yeah, the ONE game we don't have!!! Can you BELIEVE IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

I'd take my girls, but they are way too young, but they will be dressed in their Danny Gokey T-Shirts! :)

*sigh* I'll just have to record it all on the DV-R.
 
EEEEEE! And we might be going to Kris Allen day tomorrow! He's from a town just over an hour from here, and they're doing a full day of stuff with parades, concerts, etc. I *so* want to go and take kendra, but she's out of school with the flu this week (she feels MUCH better, but she still has a cough -- dr said no school for a week). So the responsible part of me knows I shouldn't take her.

I'm DYING to go though. I *heart* Kris.
 
Please forgive the non-American, but who are you talking about?

Oh Libby!! The responsible part would say no, but the cool mom in me would totally do it! I'm so bad, though. If the girls were school-age - I'd take them out to go. Bad me, I know, but really this doesn't happen all too often around here!! KWIM?
 
Well, call me jealous! I'm not even remotely close to any of the Idols' hometowns.

Libby, if I was in your situation, we'd probably go if she was feeling up to it and wasn't contagious. That's bad, I know. :blink:

It is MADNESS here. My girls have their Danny Shirts on & are glued to the news. :)

*sigh* He's as fabulous & nice and so sweet as he seems. You should see him stopping to hug all these screaming girls and take photos (he's the one doing the clicking). He was shooting promos for Fox 6 & he kept asking the news girl if HE was screwing up & he wasn't - she was. It was cute. Jamar was in the studio singing, too. :)
 
Well we ended up not going (the 1st concert is going on now). But ONLY cause she had a fever at bedtime and still has a horrible cough. I knew she'd be miserable sitting outside in the rain at the ampitheater.

I really wanted to go!
