Updates on Bree? Shawna?

shawna is doing GREAT :] she got some more news today but I'll let her post about it.. She's at the movies with the hubster right now :]
 
About Bree:

The doctors are going to do another CT scan today to see because nothing seems to be helping her pain. They have her on morphine, but its just making her sleep, but she says that the pain is still there.

At this point the doctors are thinking it may be a blood clot in her lungs (!!!), but Bree just remembered that on Sunday when she was at a party, she did some lifting, so that could have ripped a stitch inside, which could mean that she is leaking bile into her body. She hasn't had a chance to tell that to the doctors yet today though, but she will as soon as they come in to check on her.

So more days in the hospital for sure...

oh poor Bree!!! Um...I think I would have been pushing that BUTTON to tell them immediately! I hope they can help her quickly.
 
awww, poor bree! gosh I hope she feels better soon and they figure out what is up!!!

so as for me, I got GREAT news today that the final pathology results came back NEGATIVE for cancer, so I'm just thrilled to be healthy.

My surgery went great they only took out half of the thyroid because the preliminary pathology showed a negative for cancer, and I'm home now, and sore, but recovering and resting. We did get out of the house to watch star trek (woot!) to celebrate our good news, but now I'm totally worn out LOL, so back to resting. Thank goodness for pain killers!

Oh no, poor Bree!!! :( :( :( I hope they can figure out what's going on soon.

oh no!!! Poor Bree!!! That's awful! I will continue to pray for her and I so hope they can help her soon!!!

Shawna, that's awesome news!!!! I am so glad!!!!!! Get some rest now girlie!
 
Shawna, you look great and the incision is so clean! mine was jagged and stapled shut, so jealous. And I notice no drainage hole - lucky you! My scar from my incision is almost gone, but I have a lump where my drainage hole was.

Hoping everything goes well for Bree, I haven't stopped thinking about her!
 
I just got off the phone with Bree and have another update for you guys!

She had her CT scan and she doesn't have a blood clot!! What a relief! After she told the dr's about her lifting on the weekend, they are really sure that she popped a stitch inside and is leaking bile into her body. She's going to another hospital via ambulance (but not as an emergency, but because she is hooked up to IV's and can't go by car) tomorrow where they will drain the leaked fluid, and she should feel much better. The popped stitch should fix itself so at least a second surgery won't be necessary. She even managed to eat today and says she's feeling MUCH better today.

She also wanted to thank all you ladies for your kind words and well wishes. She was able to get onto the forums through her cell phone to read some of the comments you left :).

Also Shawna, Bree sends along a HUGE hug and is super happy & excited about your good news!!!
 
So glad that both you ladies had some silver linings in the recent dark clouds. I hope both of you recover well and quickly!!
 
Shawna, what a relief that it's not cancer! I'm so happy for you :)

Bree, It sounds like it might not be as bad as originally feared. I will continue to pray for your speedy recovery!
