What to see & where to camp in Nova Scotia?

Hey gals! DH and I have decided to go camping in Nova Scotia this summer, beginning of August. Last year with did the Oregon Coast for 3 weeks....but we would really like to camp this summer. We've heard folks say that the provincial parks are good....but which ones? Any recommendations? Oh and we have a dog too.

You can camp in our back yard! LOL

If you are passing through Truro (where I'm going to live in 3 weeks), you can go to Victoria Park where there's a great hiking trail and nice waterfalls. Umm...in Aylesford there's the Oaklawn Farm Zoo...in New Ross there's the Ross Farm Museum...Peggy's Cove is a nice place to go...it all depends on where in NS you are going.

We haven't really decided where we are going yet....We want to go where there's hiking and outdoor activities and good seafood. We were thinking of Five Islands Park and Riddell or Keji....been to those Jennilyn?

My friend Mel (keemackaymom) lives somewhat close to Keji and she's camped there before, but I don't camp and when I have it's been in PEI or NB. LOL You could always come to the city & then here in Eastern Passage...there's a boardwalk, Fishermans' Cove wihch has some shops and little restaurants, and great seafood. There's also Shubie Campground in Dartmouth. There's a walking trail right around the campground.
