Trying to add a Stroke to

my text and I can't get it to work...HELPME..I am using PS CS2....and I am not sure what ctrl-click is...so I am not sure I am selecting the text right, but the "stroke" function will not come up....:confused:
 
You shouldn't have to select anything. Just make sure your text layer is selected in your layer palette, then click the fx button that is at the bottom of the layer palette. That will bring up your layer effects and you can add the Stroke from there.

Yes, what she said. :) You may need to rasterize your text first...at least, I usually do that. :)
 
OMG...you guys are DA BOMB!!!!!!!! I learned something new today!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
 
I can't ever add a stroke to my text unless I rasterize it first. I get a message that says it needs rasterizing. I use CS3.

That's weird. I use CS3 and I've never had it tell me that. It worked just fine in CS2 too.
