And it's little friends shall now consume my summer. Much like Twilight did last Summer.

Ok, I love you. I'm pissed though that I'm number 3 in line at the local library for Dragonfly in Amber and I can't buy it before the weekend. Sigh.

Okay - before I jump into this -

Does the time warp guy end up being her 40's husband? I need to know that before I start LOLOL

YAY! I'm so glad you love it Traci! I swear, best series of books. ever. written.
I haven't had a chance to crack open Dragonfly in Amber yet (this'll be my third time thru the series).
We seriously need to have an Outlander group so we can discuss.

Well, thinking she might jump back and forth, and different incarnations of people, etc.

Cause here's the thing...I love sci-fi/timetravel/etc. One of my favorite book series is about a time travel experience of a modern man into ancient Scotland by Stephen Lawhead. But I'm NOT a romance person, and I have a hard time with her being with someone other than her DH. Yep - call me a prude that way LOLOL. So, am I in for disappiontment all around?

No, there aren't different incarnations of people...they are who they are - Claire just happens to be able to get sucked back into time by the stones. Are you in for disappointment all around? I would say no - the story is much more than a love story. That's part of it but the story is so rich in other things, too.

I'm not worried about that part, Traci - not that kind of prude ;)

I'm just so not a romance reader, and the marriage thing is a sort of hot spot for me, so I guess I just don't want to go there if it's going to be a romance, ya know?

Well, it's not like she CHEATED on him. Well, ok she did, but if you were suddenly somewhere, and you don't know how you got there, and you don't know where or WHEN you are or if you'll ever go back to where you came from, and your husband isn't even alive yet, and people are trying to kill you because they think you're a witch or a spy...and the only way for you to be safe and protected was to marry into a family with lots of men with swords, wouldn't you be ok with that? LOLOL!!!

See...totally discussion group worthy.

I read some of the reviews and I've heard it's the least favorite of all...the next book is the most fav after outlander...

Both of them...

Still havent finished Dragonfly in Amber  It's been MUCH harder to get through for me, but I'm trying.
Robin - this was the hardest for me to get through too. I actually skipped multiple pages at a time and didn't miss anything....just to get through it quicker. Because, the next one, Voyager, is GREAT! So you do have a reward coming for trudging through D in A.

I'm counting down the days until I start the 6th book. I miss Jamie and Clare. ;)

I started reading them again (for the 3rd time) to refresh for the new release.

Let me just say I have had some good dreams lately.

I've only read the first three books so far, but the 2nd one took me forever to get through too for some reason. But I really loved the third one though so definitely keep trying!!

Dragonfly took me the longest to get through. It had that "oh look at all the neat things I have thought of" feel, like the author just couldn't resist including a lot of info that, while interesting, does not move the narrative forward at all.

I still enjoyed it. men in kilts are always enjoyable :)
