Potty Training Update

Well, this is our 5th day of potty training and Caleb is doing amazing. I am so proud of him that I had to get on here and brag about my little guy. He just turned 21 months on Monday and with another baby on the way in about 8 weeks, I thought I would give it a try. Each day has been a little better, with less accidents and more successes. Today he has done the BEST! He has no accidents. After it has been about 1.5-2 hours since he has last gone, I open up the potty and let him go naked. I tell me that if he needs to go he needs to sit on the potty. The last two times he will run over to the potty, sit, and go after a few minutes. I am just so proud of him. When Daddy gets home we are taking him to Walmart to pick out so new undies and a ball (he is obsessed with balls).

I am just so proud. Thanks for reading :)

aww congrats! Hope it continues to be successful. My next to youngest just turned 3 and has finall grasped the concept. We tried when she was around Calebs age but it didn't work for us at that time (we too were expecting again). One day a couple months ago it just clicked for her lol

That is wonderful! :)

My Grandson just turned 3 years old and isn't all that interested in potty training unfortunately....:( My Daughter has been trying, but it seems like he will tell her he wants to go potty right after he has done it in his pull up....When she has him sit on the potty he does absolutely nothing though she tries to encourage him "to go" with stickers....As for us being able to allow him to run "nekkid" in the house, we can't because his little sister tries to grab hold if you kwim....
I'm hoping now that summer is so close perhaps he will be able to wear his underwear around outside with a shirt and maybe he won't like the feeling of peeing in his underwear....

Sounds like your little guy is on the right track!

That is awesome!!! I have two little ones...one will be 3 at the end of June and the other will be 2 at the end of August...the almost 3 year old was using the potty before he turned two and now won't use it at all. We are going to give it an honest go when he is all better (he has been battling a bunch of different things for a few weeks now)

Congrats and feel free to share your secrets!!
